2016 Collector Club toy images

For 2016, we have two known items, and some proposed items, that aren't part of the Subscription set or BotCon toys.

Membership toy - Universe Ramjet (redeco DLX Armada Starscream with new head)
Store exclusive - Armada Skywarp (redeco Ramjet)
Proposed Store exclusives - Human 2-pack (Arcee, Rodimus Prime - reworked GIJoe figures)

Seibertron's exclusive arrangement with the Collector Club has given them another upcoming toy to photograph and show off, and you can see the Ramjet toy here.
This toy is likely to be shipped out some time after BotCon in April, as FunPub would have received them with their BotCon toys.

Well I have to get Rodimus and Arcee because it i have the Old Snake set :p

The Ramjet toy (membership toy) is now showing up at American homes, so any Club members here, yours should be on its way now as well.

Sounds like there could be some issues with their exclusive head, which was already adjusted, holding up the toy by two months (it was supposed to be with the BotCon shipment from China).

This year's GIJoe/TFs set from the Club (the Gen2 themed one) has been announced to have two extra items added - Blackcat (redeco of SDCC 2013 Ravage, based on a miscoloured Ravage in a German 1980s Transformers magazine) & Toaster (redeco of SDCC 2013 Blaster, based on the in-joke of a proposed and unused toaster alt-mode by the Ark in the original Issue 1 that has since been used as an easter egg a few times, to the point of becoming an actual character).

Both are reeeally obscure elements from Transformers, and possibly being squeezed in by the club before it closes, just to get a few more unique character toys created.

So a noob question for a club noob - without being a member, is the 2nd hand market the only way to obtain these sets? Or do any American stores sell them after the fact (excess stock perhaps)?

it is now impossible to join the club because they are losing their license from Hasbro at the end of the year.
if you haven't got a membership you might be able to buy club items from stores like BBTS and other American eRetailers, otherwise find a friend who's a member who can buy directly from their site for you.

Is anyone here a club member that would be willing to order a set for me when they get released? Happy to pay prior to ordering (or a deposit and the rest when the order is placed, given exchange and shipping variables).

If so, please drop me a PM. Obviously this set isn't out until later this year, but would be happy to get a lead sorted on it as I'm not a club member.

The final FunPub licensed convention is apparently on this weekend, with JoeCon in Colorada, and they've shown off a promo image on the back of their convention comic, for the GIJoe/TFs set, including the new Blackcat and Toaster.

I should add in addition to my noobishness that I'm also keen for these sets if a current member is willing to piggy back an order of mine :)

I'd only heard of the Shattered Glass version of Blackcat (where he was the Riddler) and hadn't realised that the SG version was inspired by something else until these pics came out.

Borgeman, will you add Blackcat to your Masterpiece Cassette Expansion?

Is anyone here offering to purchase these for non-members and if so is there a price list somewhere? :D

Not the SG version (SG opens up a whole 'nuther set I cant afford to do :p)
And I wont need to if they release him with the masterpiece mold AND I get my hands on it :)

I may be able to do a group order for Melbourne members as I'm looking to get the club's Skywarp to fill out the Armada Seeker ranks - will post a thread soon

When these are listed for sale by the Club I'm sure a few people here will post up something in the group order section.

I believe that this new Blackcat toy isn't using the MP mold, but is a repaint of the non-transforming Ravage that came with the 2013 Jetfire set (also the source of the Blaster toy being repainted as Toaster).

I was wondering why my Ramjet toy wasn't here yet, despite getting Spinister over a week ago, while Americans got their Ramjet toy a couple of days before Spinister.
Now I know why.
Briefly mentioned by prjkt in the venting topic, the Collector Club sent out an email on the 30th of June, telling its members that the Ramjet toys (the "free" membership toy), were sent in two batches - one batch went out on the 2nd of June, the other batch went out on the 24th of June.
Can you guess which batch was for Americans and which batch was for non-Americans?

(they note 3-4 weeks for domestic deliveries - hopefully that's an accidental typo on their part as it only takes 3-4 days for postal deliveries in America, as seen with the postings on global fansites by Americans who get them in less than a week, NOT more than 3 weeks)

So we have a 22 day gap because of the JoeCon on the weekend of the June 18th, and since American deliveries take 2-4 days compared to non-American deliveries taking 2-4 weeks, you'd think the sensible thing to do would be to send out the non-American ones first, so that everyone around the world would be getting them within a week of each other, instead of a six week gap (3 weeks between the shipments being sent and 3 weeks for the shipping difference).

I only recently commented about this (allegedly international) Collector Club never considering to give non-Americans the chance to receive at least one of their 46 Subscription & Membership toys first by sending out a toy 2 weeks earlier to non-Americans, who would still only receive it at the same time as Americans... and now this email from the Club tells us that they are doing the opposite to make sure that Americans not only get their toys first, but get it 6 weeks before people in other countries. Mine is not expected to get to me for another 2 weeks, while Americans started getting theirs 4 weeks ago on June 6th.
And the Club's email says we can't contact them about this matter or decision until the end of July... huh?

As good as they were with BotCon, FunPub continue to find ways make the Club look like a really bad idea to join (if you could still join).
I think if it BotCon didn't have such a huge discount as a Club Member, forcing the thousand-ish conventioneers each year to be a member, very few people in recent years would have joined just to be a member of the Collector Club.

So what is Toaster a repaint of? I am in the mood for toast :D

The tiny Blaster (in tape deck mode) from the last SDCC TFs/GIJoe set. I think it might be slightly bigger than the one packed with MP Tracks.
Doesn't look like a toaster though... but we did get one as a TF2 movie toy.

It also appears to comes with the Steeljaw, Ramhorn, and Eject tapes from that set repainted as pieces of toast

Ramjet arrived today, about 2weeks +1 business day after being posted.

I included the Megatron, Ravage and Ratbat because those three moulds will be in this Club pack, while the Roaul and Baroness are included to show the size difference between the humans that came with the two Blasters.

Sounds like Skywarp is up for sale soon this month, if not already, as the Club have announced a sale for August with Skywarp being added (but not part of the sale).
It is noted as being US$69, limited to 1000 units, and comes with a mini-comic done in the style of the four mini-comics we got for Armada.
Also available will be the Membership toy Ramjet, for US$39.

Ordered mine, but limited to 1 per membership. A whole bunch of Ramjets are going to be lonely.

Fire sal on earlier Timelines comics and old Botcon toys too.

1 per membership? That's going to prevent group orders or saving on postage.

50 something with a few comics, so I shipped it to a remailer in California. Cheapest in us though was $23 :(
So I'll save some but still stung badly

I was going to get Skywarp... but I just cant justify the postage any more... I have 0% want for this figure... as he has only had a toy and a few non speaking comic appearances.

At the recent TFNation convention in the UK (last weekend), Jim Sorenson was allowed to show off some Collector Club toy exclusive concepts - Blackarachnia from GEN Chromia, Dinobot from GEN Springer, BM Rattrap from TFPrime Rumble, and JP BW Galvatron from TFPrime Beast Hunters Optimus.

The galvatron I don't care for but the other 3 were inspired, it's a shame they never happened.

I'm interested in a few things on the club store, even no longer being a member I can log on to look now since they opened up the last subscription service to prior members. I'm wondering if they will have a fire sale of everything at the end of the year. there are a few things I want but the burn for shipping is holding me back, and the fact that you still have to buy a box set before they will let you buy the bagged set? I asked and they confirmed that to be the case.

I actually only like that Galvatron.

I wouldnt mind being able to see inside the club store even if i couldnt purchase as a non-current or previous member. There is an old Botcon poster with Clench i'd love to get one day at least.

Looks like the club lifted the 1 per member on skywarp..... Was anyone else holding out on ordering?
