I was bored... so I did a quick, simple photoshop for my desktop.

I'll get 'round to doing a few more of these... watch this space.

Do one with the car. Maybe even both modes too. I like the silver. :)

If you do do a red version, do both a silver and red car, maybe both at 3/4 angle facing each other.

The Prime outline is vector, yeap! I can post later if you want to mess around with it. I planned on colouring it in, but it was gonna take an age and wasn't looking that good anyway, so i gave up :)

very very nice, wouldn't look out of place as an official wallpaper for the alternitiy line.. whats this vector business? is it an effect on photoshop or something? its been ages since ive stuffed around with graphic design stuff on the computater :D

Vector based is more like the way Illustrator works.... which is resolution independent. I'm sure the background eventually got passed through Photoshop, but I'm curious if Kurdt has that Alternity wire frame in vector format, thus making it resolution independent.

after a quick read on wikipedia about illustrator and vector based images im quite intrigued... looks very cool to play around with, sweet looking and resolution independent images... nice

Jaydisc is correct, the outline was traced using Illustrator, and the wallpaper was composited in Photoshop, at the large resolution i linked to earlier (I don't have a 1920x desktop :))

Yeh gamblor, it did take a while! The photo reference wasn't ideal, that's for sure :) I have plenty of practice tho (see: Bunnings catalog illustrations)

It's not my main job, more of a freelance thing. I'm not the only one doing them, though at times it feels like it! I end up doing around 70+ per month, with some real nasties from time to time. Next time you're looking at the catalog, shed a tear for me, for the time spent on some of the lawnmowers. Especially considering they're printed at about 5cm on horrible paper stock!

ahh ok fair enough, i thought that might've been the case, i hoped it wasn't just one person haha..
