MP20+ Wheeljack

Takara have released MP20+ Anime Wheeljack repaint. Shown at Wonder Festival 2018 in Japan with the new MP Hound and Optimus Prime.

Seems like it's becoming a gamble whether to purchase the initial MP release or wait for the + version these days... :rolleyes:

The original mp wheel jack was poorly done.

The original MP was amazing in both modes with an intuitive transformation.
It looked cheap because it wasn't painted. This MP+ version looks perfect.

I hope this isn't a TTM exclusive. He is one MP+ I'd be will to upgrade to if the price is right.

I knew this was only a mater of time, the racing colours on the original MP Wheeljack were always at odds with the cartoon slavish looks we are seeing of late.

That sums up all toy collecting, there's always another new version if you are prepared to wait, but to what end.

Not much except maybe is all painted unlike the first one.
I know some people will like dismiss it but to me the first wheeljack was underwhelming in paint.

It was a shame that the original didn't have a coat of white paint but I don't like the livery or blue windows on this one so I'll stick with the original.

Compared to MP Prowl the previous white Autobot, Wheeljacks plastic white always looked a bit dull despite all his racing decos. I'm tempted by this version, for that reason, and also because I've always preferred Wheeljack with the vibrant red details on his chest.

yeah honestly the painted finish, even though I am assuming it is sort of a 'rough prototype' kinda feel, does make it look a bit nicer than the existing one. also similarly with Prowl + I do kinda like the blue windscreen. It just overall is not something I am excited about or interested in.
