I work with someone who was on the show this season so I have watched the show this season.
I'm curious as to who it is, some of it seems so staged though
My missus is hooked on this, what she calls 'pure trash television', something she can just switch off and unwind to after a day's work because its so ridiculous and doesn't have any firm roots in reality whatsoever
Shows like this are a bigger blight on society than the rotten irony of goggle box.
This thread has almost hit triple digit views. There must be members here coming back for more (punishment). :p
I do watch this with the 'Missus'. but I only recently found out it was a 'reality' TV show... I always thought it was a scripted soap opera ;);););)
I want to watch it to see what all the fuss is about, but can never catch it.
Chin up! I'm sure there are a few MAFS fans, maybe they're just waiting for the thread to build some momentum :)
I only watch the show so I can have a punt:

Shows you how much I know about Reality TV. I assumed this thread was about having married someone that you fell for the first time you saw them. :o
Never heard of the tv show - but then I don't watch the picture wireless much
What was the big reveal that Kyle & Jackie O were talking about this morning? Apparently a previous entrant was privy to some news of affairs.
I just like reading the news.com.au recaps of each episode. I've not watched one episode this year but know what's going on with the key couples.
The missus and I watched and got into the first season. The experts genuinely seemed to try to match the couples, it was not really sensationalist in any way. Originally it was only four couples and each got a decent amount of screen time. It seems now there are a lot more couples and they just focus on the most "interesting" ones. And they are deliberately picking couples purely base off entertainment value.
I can only imagine the conversation topic at future Sydney TF meet ups.
:p
Someone give Cyrell a Logie. She is off the hook ratings gold
She gets people talking though, unlike her play husband who walks around like he's comatose.
As a producer, if I could keep her on for the entirety of the show and maintain a balanced amount of drama, I would.
Everybody stops to look at a car wreck
100%. She sounds rough as guts.
Why was the lass in the blue dress crying? Something about a recording?
These experts kill me. They remind me of Jason Bateman's character from Dodgeball
Oh I just caught that episode tonight. That was Melissa, she was upset because her husband Dino recorded a private conversation she'd had with her sister the night before, in which she spoke negatively of him. He'd decided to record it with the intention of replaying it to her later as evidence, because he feels that she always denies what he says.
And those experts, they're basically sell-outs, but I see what you mean. :)
Every reality show is directed towards a direction.....
The travel guides on nine is becoming inane. The twins really gave off a scripted response. They cant hide it well. Throws everything that is said into the spotlight if they are just "having it on".
This show is something of people just trying to get famous.
who was that crazy new lady berating her hapless hubbie? i noticed some article about a mafs chick pashing that todd carney weirdo and i think it was her. clearly added for nutjob viewer appeal.
rather than adding dud new couples, what i'd like to see is a "second chance" episode where a failed couple gets a second shot with new partners. dino looked so defeated, imagine if they chucked a hippy chick at him.
Perhaps we need a wall of MAFS faces & names.
Last night was interesting. The blonde lass having it out with surfer lad made me want to put my head through a wall & walk out into the high tide
He was almost convincing in his attempts to portray frustration. Almost.
As for the rest, pretty non eventful from what I recall
