if your talking about the $900 odd one, then youll get nothing atm, because i believe it hasnt been passed yet

As far as I have worked out, if you did your tax last year (07-08) and didn't get it all back, as long as you didn't earn over 100,000 in that year, than you will either get $300 or $900.
I think kids in school get $950 each or summin to do with family benefit B, but I dunno, coz not having any kids means I am not what Rudd classes as 'working families.'
Depsite the fact that I am a prome candidate for actually spending any money I would be given, apparenlty my vote is worth less than a families vote....

I think my way of stimulating the global economy will be to buy transformers.
2 out of 4 in my family look to be getting the full $900. :) 2 are getting $0. :p
And if you haven't done your 07-08 tax return you have until the end of June to get it in to receive this "tax bonus"

I want to know, as both someone on Youth Allowance and someone who earnt over the threshhold last year, do I get both payments, or just the one?
Everytime I hear about it I think of that Futurama episode. But will Rudd make $300 bills with his face on them? That's the big question.

What a bloody week...first my stupid PC mysteriously decides to stop connecting to the internet leaving me having to use my mum's computer (and I can't even find my password so no posting under my own account either, and I was supposed to be catching up with an old friend this week and now can't really get in touch with her either) for 3 days and fork out $50 minimum to have it fixed (I currently earn about $240 a week) and now I find out I'm not eligible for Rudd's bonus because while I worked (like a dog) in 2008 it was after the 07/08 financial year...:(

Apparently the same way you get your tax returns which is either cheque or bank deposit. They are advertising now to tell people to be sure the Tax Office has your current details.Quote:

Yeah it comes on the day your youth allowance goes into your bank account, so today was the day I usually get paid, so the $950 came with that so I got like ~$1200 today, sweeeeeeeeeet
I think you should get it then, I think I remember from somewhere that if you had youth allowance during Febuary then you'll get it, check out this link for more info
I soon became aware of this fact a few weeks ago and I'm now having to wait up until April 6 to see if I actually do apply for the $950. My official course start date was March 10 and my Youth Allowance was backdated to March 7, so I may or may not be elligible for the Administrative Scheme.
