If you are a Star Wars fan can you claim a religius holiday based on religious believes?
Probably, but it's not a public holiday in this country. Saturday was the 12th day of Ridvan (Baha'i) and this coming Saturday is Visakha Puja (Buddhism).
But personally as a member of the Jedi religion I would like to say to everyone, may the Force be with you! :)
Are you officially a member or one of those 'I believe in my own way' types? :p
Me Sa Bread Bread Blinkz
Well in the last two national censuses I put "Jedi" down as my religion. My Star Wars fandom just isn't what it used to be so I'm thinking about putting down "Transformers" in the next national census. It pretty much like a religion for me anyway considering that I virtually live and breathe TFs. :)Quote:

We celebrated in our staffroom today with snail buns (reference to Princess Leia's hair). :D
Stormtroopers may be hot... but it sure hurts when they knee you in the janglies!!

did soo much star wars stuff on my night shift that the manager told me "no more star wars" lmao, all i was doing was pretending the devider was a light saber, tried to turn lights off and on (worked once, for a split second lol) and tried to force grab my bottle lol
kup: not all Star Wars fans are necessarily followers of the Jedi faith. And you can celebrate any day as a religious holiday, but the Australian government doesn't recognise all religious occasions as public holiday. e.g. events like Ramadan, Buddhist New Year, Baha'i New Year etc. aren't public holidays in Australia. Easter isn't a public holiday in Japan. etc. -- but just because it's not a public holiday doesn't mean you can't observe it yourself. :)
I wasnt aware of this ( prolly coz Im not a SW fan, I just enjoy the franchise)
May the 4th ..that is hilarious, what a good idea.
Heretic. Oh, I mean, fair enough. :p ;)Quote:
