Don't know if this will make it to Aus, but the NY M&M store has two special t-shirts cross promoting ROTF. One has Bumblebee and the Yellow M&M wearing BBB armour (almost looks like the PotatoHead). The other has five M&Ms all wearing TF armour.
There might be tv spots coming too, I think they did that with SW:ROTS?
And you're taking orders for these :p

I wish that stuff was there when I was there in 2007. When I was at the M&Ms house in 2007, they had a big promo with the green M&M dressed up as the Statue of Liberty.

Anyway more info: the newstand outside the M&M store had a cardboard display featuring Optimus Prime and the Red M&M (in Prime cosplay) and "Collect and Enjoy. 7 limited edition packs" but there were no packets of M&Ms left in it!
As for the t-shirts... if someone really desperately wants one let me know quick (I'm only in New York for two more days). The yellow one was $17 USD (before tax), the black one was $22 USD (before tax). I'm hesistant to buy clothing though for other people, what if the sizing is all wrong and I can't show you what they actually look like.
I went to buy the yellow shirt today but they only had it in kids sizes :(
The black one had adult and kids sizes, but prefered the yellow one as it had an actual Transformer (Bumblebee) on it.
Still haven't spied the M&M packets with Transformers advertising on them yet.
The tfw2005 website last weekend had some seeing them (the candy). Maybe distribution will be better as we get closer to the movie. (I was surprised to hear that they were already being released, as it would be a bit too early to be capitalising off a movie that isn't out yet.
I'm at least hoping they are out in the LA area when I'm there next week.
The M&M website says the promotion starts the 20th May.... so only just...

I rang up Mars Australia yesterday, and I was told that we won't be getting any similar Movie tie in with M&Ms in Australia. So I gotta find these in the week I'm here to sample and try to bring some back for others.
So, bad news for us in Australia who were looking forward to this.

too bad this didn't happen about 5-6years ago when my wife audited them, otherwise we could of really taught them a lesson:p

Also found a "Bumblebee" Snickers at a Drug Store today, regular Snickers with a yellow nougarty layer.
Damn it, I was only looking out for the M&Ms (because these odd flavours won't be released here).
I did find a Target stocked with the TFs M&Ms (strawberry/peanut butter flavour) on the way back to the airport, and bought a dozen packs to bring back with me. As soon as I'm sorted out, I'll decide on selling or giving them away.
I need to get rid of them quickly though, or else I'll eat them all... :p
I need something Griffin.... to go with my M&M Tshirt!!! :p
