feedback for this pic please

a certain someone wanted me to design a set of beastwars type characters... i'm having trouble pulling off 'robotic' looking animals. Pic is not finished. pen died. any feedback you can give me about making something look beastwarsy may help!
i continuely tell this person that there list of what they want, can't be done (esp considering what they using it for). i'g get sued for breach of copyright, from shapes, names to colours, but it doesn't seem like its getting through. :( so any help. feedback please.

wants this. exactly this. colours and all. (i'm trying to not get sued for copyright) for a BW of G1 Doublecross. a 'wolfgang almost exact replica, bw style and of all things a bw turtle. apparently they all ninjas/samurai's. which he keeps useing both words, but lets face it, they're two diff things. also wants predicons. told me i had free reign. but didn't like my 'wasp' chick (well, its a bit boring i think)

"okay well I got some ideas for some characters, one would be a wolf bot second is a turtle but he is pretender, kinda resembels a lot of bludgeon in how he dresses but is a maximal and the third is the leader who is in fact a robot very similar to Grimlock but has the idw look to him and dosn't have the speech impediment.

So to cap them up we have

Wolf= same mold as wolfgang but more darker
turtle= pretender very close to bludgeon with the japanese armor idw bludgeon that is but in a beast wars era
t-rex=much like grimlock from idw. "


Help me draw like beastwars cause i don't have enough knowlege about bots.

Are you looking at more of the organic or robotic look? Maybe u might need to show a bit more 'bot looking parts when u can

Bwahaha! I've just worked out who "a certain someone" is. Again, does Sean realise that there's no Transformer called 'wolfgang'. There are, however, two called 'Wolfang' (a Maximal and a Predacon. They're the same mould, however, so it doesn't matter, just one's blue and grey while the other's red and brown.)

he didn't like this as his 'commander' and didn't suggest the character to be placed anywhere else (in possiible group). liked the idea, but not for the tf thing.

Erm I made a few scribbles after reading the thread... the idea of a ninja turtle piqued my interest but I cant come up with a pretender shell... yet, basically the ninja innerbot snapping turtle... my scanner aint big enough though so the side view and kodachi swordtail isnt fully scanned but you get the general idea. it looks like a whole lot of plates stuck together :o it was kinda hard but at the same time interesting. I was trying to see how things would be set in place if he transforms from one mode to another. Funny thing is I was watching Naruto filler arc the whole day today and it invloves the Sanbi - three tailed bijouu which is coincidentally a turtle:D:D

yukitora: Fair enough, but just to play it on the safe side I think I should avoid discussing it. There's honestly not much I can add anyway; your design and technical drawing skills seem fine to me. :)

more pics for your enjoyment. i love creating these things, i know they still not very robotic, i love my octopus, and my beastwars take on sunstreaker, what do you guys think. i did sunstreaker just for me :) i know, he looks like a chaos lord with a slaanesh whip! xD I was watching red dwarf at the time of octopus. can you tell?! the other is a jumping spider. ment to have goggles but i screwed up! dah, so i coloured it and probably made it worse! aaaahhhhhh haha hahah ahahahahahahah:eek:

love the sunstreaker one the shading you've done to it is very nice indeed, the octopus chick reminds me of one those alians from star wars, and dont worry about the spider you can see the goggles i do love the colours and the details that you have done to the robot parts overall very Beast Wars like
