Sounds like we might have to wait almost a year for the next batch of Universe toys, but at least it sounds like Hasbro are already working on them.
A recent press event for Hasbro and Paramount (for the DVD release), Aaron Archer talked a little about the future of the Universe line.

Finally. I just bought Red Alert and I am almost complete on my Classics/Universe collection (just need Thundercracker now) so I am very excited about the return of Universe.
I don't collect the movie line so I can't wait for Universe again
2010 would be an apt time to release some more Universe figures based on the Season 3 characters (aka "Transformers 2010") such as Rodimus Prime, Scourge etc.; maybe a new Ultra Magnus with trailer-armour! (/pipe.dream) :p
Good stuff. Here's hoping we get some Monster bots to break up all the vehicle bots (what they did to Mindwipe for the movie range just ain't right).

If somebody here didnt post a pre TF version on whom the based Treadshot from ( a revolver) it never wouldve occured to me:o. So Id really like to see soem of those mentioned, or even just 2-3 would be nice , especially TM Scourge, do I hear short stacked and missing from the shelves due to sweeps collecting..... oh and they better get the sizing correct, not that Hasbro ever does from time in memorial stick to proper sizing anyways...one can dream.
Yay! I'm hoping for more Dinobots and BW revisits, like that Voyager Rhinox that someone said they'd been thinking about.
This might actually make me want to collect all the G1-esk universe figures
A leader or voyager class UM with trailer would pull me over the line :)

Nah, I just ordered a CC set and I'd love Hasbro to do an UM with armor - it'd lower the price to get the Magnus to put in it. Besides, I doubt Hasbro would make anything as good as the CC - if we're lucky we could pillage it for the missiles.

I am still hoping it is a proto for the new Universe/Classics but there hasn't been any more news on the picture
Still on topic, is the Seeker mold still usable? I remember reading somewhere that the guns on Thundercracker were loose due to mold degredation.
I am sure Hasbro can fix the mold and finally give us a non-exclusive Thundercracker, but apart from a Sunstorm recolour and possible Thrust/Dirge release, what other Seekers can be made? Random colours with random names? Did any other Seekers (from MTMTE) get names?

The cassette's photo (especially the hands) makes it look like a scout figure but the simple transformation and my other legends are making me think this could just sneek in as legends class figure.. hmmm.
Looks to poseable to be a legends class, I'd say Scout as well.
And while we've seen a nice robot mode, and a decent car mode, where missing the full picture as to what these guys look like in their other mode. I'll wait till I have the full story to decide what I think of these.
I do hope these protos are official Hasbro products and are for the new Universe/Classics line
