which TF is the hardest for you to transform? why is this? the sheer complexity of the tranformation or the instructions not being clear or other perhaps?
which TF is the easiest to tranform?
do you think there is a certain level of transformation that should be adhered to so it isnt too easy? obviously differes depending on age range
Easiest would be Activator Bumblebee:D just press and it transforms itself heheheh
Hardest would be are the Alts and MP jets - because some of the instructions aint clear at all. While for the jets its more of I have to be carful because Im afraid I would break the plastic:D
I'm not so sure which one is the hardest to transform but movie legends have got to be one of the easiest TFs to transform.
Except for ROTF legends prime. It's a real bit** to transform when limbs pop out easily from your poorly made toy :mad:
Hardest: Masterpiece Megatron; he is a royal pain in the <expletive>.
Easiest: Well, any one-step transformation Transformers such as Activators, Bumper Battlers, Cyber Slammers, Flipchangers, Time Warrior etc. Jumpstarters and Battlechargers in theory :p
Hardest for me would have been the Darth Vader Death Star, took me over 45 min to get it looking round. The first time i tried i could'nt do it so gave up
I'd say one pain in the ass one is Ulitmate bumblebee
Hardest has got to be ROTF Leader Jetfire.
Easiest? Probably one of the Throttlebots
Masterpiece Megs for sure. It's so hard ive never fully transformed him. I tried and gave up out of fear of breaking something.

The Jets are fickle as well, but not as hard IMO.
And for a FAB, Frenzy is a pain to get back into Alt mode.
As for an easy ones, my Battle Chargers are easy, I just have to let got and they transform :D And the Duocons :p
MP Megs is the hardest, especially for the first time because theres a lot of non-intuitive transformation detail. However he fits together very nicely in the end.
MP seekers however, at least my hasbro version, is a bitch to get everything lined up correctly even when you have the hang of it.
Easiest? an RPM :p

As I said, Jumpstarters (and Battlechargers) are easy one-step transformation Transformers in theory. I'd put Gravity Bots in this same category. In reality these Transformers are often trickier because their gimmicks are prone to mucking up or just breaking down. Actually, the Battlechargers' transformation gimmick tends to still work well even after 23 years, but the problem is that their back supports become floppy in robot mode.
You know that the Throttlebots all follow the same transformation pattern, right? ;) Having said that, Wideload would be the easiest to transform since his arms don't clip onto the main motor section; you can lift up the body without having to fold the arms out first. Doesn't really make much of a huge difference, just gives you a slight luxury of folding the arms out later if you want. :p But the Throttlebots aren't one-step Transformers, they're actually four-steps. I can't think of any Transformers that are easier to transform that one-steppers.Quote:

True, but I am afraid of breaking him, just like Megs, the instructions were pretty difficult to follow, it did not explain that part of Megs (cant remember which) was "pegged in" and had to pull it in a certain way to release it. It may have in the writing but I can't read Japanese :oQuote:

Yeah, now that you mention it that I remember gamblor916 initially found his MP Grimlock a bit hard to transform. He'd brought it over to my place and I just started transforming it according to the instructions... it hadn't actually occured to me at the time that the instructions were in a language that most other people (in Australia) can't read. :p Sounds weird, but for me I just saw a toy, saw the instructions, read the instructions, and transformed it accordingly. It wasn't until gamblor pointed it out to me that I became consciously aware that these instructions aren't as easy to follow if you only have to rely on the illustrations alone. :) When I was collecting Binaltech I'd often be talking to dirge about the latest BT and he'd talk about how difficult a certain part of the transformation was, and sometimes I'd say, "I worked it out okay," and he'd point out to me, "That's because you can read Japanese!"Quote:

I find Hasbro's textless instructions for some Deluxe Class Transformers hard enough to understand! In fact, I had so much trouble with ROTF Leader Optimus Prime and Jetfire that I resorted to finding video reviews on YouTube to help me figure out how to transform them properly! :p
He's actually not as fragile as he looks. Certain parts of the transformation WILL give you the heeby jeebies though. It requires applying a lot more force than you're probably accustomed to for a plastic toy. Try watching a youtube video of someone doing it. Watching someone do it gave me my 'brute-faith' :DQuote:

I often find some of my old G1's are in fact become my hardest TF's to transform, due to age making them old and stiff.
The rotf leader class toys have been troublesome for me

I really disliked transforming the Classics deluxe-sized Galvatron.
Hardest would be TFTM Concept 'Bee, if only for the fact that his hood automorph got stuck in robot mode and stayed that way for about three months. Aside from him, RotF Sideswipe and Universe Triceradon are also what I think of as hard. Sideswipe because he's got a lot of stuff to pull out and stick in, and Triceradon because the bits of dinosaur go wonky in beast mode if you don't put his robot bits just the right way.
Easiest would be RotF Jetfire, or indeed most of the Legends. During the HSC, I fiddled with them as I revised, managing to transform them without even looking at them for the most part.
Dude, "TFTM" stands for "Transformers The Movie," whereas I think you're referring to the Transformers movie. :)
I personally really like TF moofie Deluxe Bumblebee (both 70s and Concept). I think they're both a good balance of being complex enough to provide some challenge, but not too challenging that you end up spending an hour or so transforming them and yelling every swear word known to you (or throwing the toy across the room as I did when I first tried to transform Big Convoy (-_-)). I find them to be nice fun toys. :) My only real gripe with Concept Bumblebee are the shoulder panels which pop off too easily.

It took me 1.5 hours to transform MP Megatron, and I can read the instructions!! (T_T)

Now its fairly easy and intuitive.
I have found, that Universe Nemesis Prime was a complete pain to transform. The instructions were lame no language at all ones, and they started from Beast mode, yet he was boxed in robot mode.... Never successfully got him into beast mode until I just recently acquired a korean Big Convoy with instructions and language (although Korean...:rolleyes:). even then, instructions were from beast mode, but robot mode in box, still at least they worked better and I finally did it.
Now I just find that due to mould changes, parts of Nemesis naturally fall off and he just doesn't fit together well, indicating that when I tried TF-ing him , I was pretty close, but poor quality stopped (put off more like it) me from going any further...
Forming Omega Prime (RID) was a bit of a bugger too, i remember spending at least an hour on it and working up quite a sweat in the process, although it was christmas time.:D
Easiest? Battlechargers or Cosmos perhaps?
I find MP Grimbo quite easy, its close enough to the original to give me little tingles, with funkiness happening on the legs. Never found it all that hard once I had a good look at the way the tail folds away.
Big Convoy is a pain in the bum to transform. I got the Japanese version back in 1999 and even with readable instructions it was frustrating. I literally threw that toy across the room in frustration after trying to transform it for the first time. (-_-) If there were ever a Transformers dictionary, I'd swear if you looked up the word "shellformer" you'd find a picture of Big Convoy!
I found Big Convoy easy to transform and I found it intuitive. I don't know what you guys are on about :/ When I bought that toy I had heard all the stuff about how difficult it is to Transform and I actually found Energon Mirage mold (the boat guy) to be a much greater challenge. The BTs are also a much greater challenge.
A hard and frustrating toy to transform is Movie Leader Brawl another is Optimal Optimus.
Does the transformation of Big Convoy require a higher intuitive level than say Magmatron or Omega Prime?
I managed to get transform the latter two based on pictures of their robot modes. I love transformers for their ingenuity, and have been a bit iffy over Big Convoy purely because the YouTube reviews on him contain ball joints popping off.
