I hope they increase the capacity of the USB drives... 2 GB nowadays is not enough to be useful... :o
yeah, 2GB is next to useless if they want to market it to the gadget geek crowd as Takara did.
I hope the would release a Steeljaw repaint instead of Tigatron and an Overkill instead of Dinobot or Trypticon. However a Steeljaw repaint is pretty much pointless with a Device Label Blaster.
Apparently going to be released by Toshiba in the states. Both usb keys and mouse.

I don't mind that the USBs are only 2gb, I just want a USB Ravage to play with :p

Ironically enough, Blaster would have been more appealing to a Gadget Geek or casual user since Blaster was a perfectly practical gadget as it would work well as a USB hub and can also serve as a cool desk toy but for some reason it was canceled while the less than practical and more gimmicky label products were fine for release.

Overpriced and undersized novelty USB sticks are hardly anything new, and regular people and gadget geeks alike know they're getting ripped off with these kind of things all the time, it's the novelty that drives them to purchase, not the functionality/capacity.
Those links offer multiple size capacities, but i'd wager the 2gb is the most popular. You'd have to be out of your mind to buy the 16gb versions, because you could likely get the 2gb novelty plus a bunch of standard brand 16gb USB sticks for less price - if you were 'geek' minded.
I didn't buy Ravage cause i don't need memory at all; same as Music Label Soundwave, i would have preferred the same toy with no functionality whatsoever!
Yeah but do the people who like 'trinket' devices have enough numbers to justify the sale figures of a relatively comlpex toy? The USB sticks you linked are as complex as mighty mugs so I doubt that they requiere much expense to make so just a few selling to a niche market is enough for them. I doubt a huge percentage of gadget geeks would be interested in getting those.Quote:
