New image of a Combiner figure!
Im not sure but i think this figure has been posted before.
No it's a new one. The first one was Huffer.
The reference to Minicons flash flare Drones sold separetly on the packaging is interesting... "Attach to power-up any commander figure" it sounds more and more like Armada 2.0 complete with new names for Deluxe, Voyager, etc.
A decepticon version of Ratchet?
This picture still doesn't let you see the faces.
However despite the very clear attempts at Armada 2.0 - This mold does not look to be that incompetently designed or compromized by its gimmick. It looks like a realistic welld etailed vehicle although they chould probably expand their range instead of showing us the same vehicle type again and again.
"Chopster"... erm... not the greatest name, but infinitly better (and more original) than Tankor, so thank Primus for small mercies. :/
I'd love to see another Decepticon medic. The only other one doesn't even have hands! :/ "Hey doc, while I appreciate you licking my wound... maybe you should start repairing me now." :pQuote:

I hope to high diety that they include the generic Mini-con ports from Armada. They won't be added to my Mini-Con army without them, let alone be deemed Mini-Cons
HAHA...I Get it. He turns into an axeQuote:

I'm really getting excited about the possibilities of this line.
Yeah, it would be pretty cool if they kept the universal Mini-Con port size from the Unicron Trilogy and allow for cross-compatability. :) Universe Hot Shot's Mini-Con port is compatible with Armadaverse MiniCons.Quote:

As much as I loathe Armada, Mini-Cons and Mini-Con ports, I'm actually quite interested in the prospects of this line. Like kup said, the gimmick doesn't seem to get in the way of the design and it seems well executed, and the designs themselves look more like Classics/Universe 2.0 than anything, which happens to be my favourite line.
I am curious about the "Armour" option. It would be ccol if the minicons could form an exoskeleton tyoe armour for the robot.
Colour me intrigued
:oI actually liked Armada, the mini-cons didn't bother me at all:). I'd be more than happy to buy an Armada version 2 over any of the movie trash we have received lately:D
I liked Armada too, but there were some things that could've been done better. Overall the Mini-Cons were pretty well engineered, but my gripe is with some of the Autobots and Decepticons whose engineering were somewhat compromised due to their gimmicks. Compare say Scavenger with Shockwave (Tidalwave). Shockwave's gimmicks compliment the toy nicely whereas Scavenger is overwhelmed by its gimmicks (and thus has chronically compromised engineering (or lack of)).
And of course, Armada Hot Shot's compromised engineering (particularly in the shoulders) has become stuff of legend! :)

...even Hasbro looks back and laughs at it now, as evidenced by the "jaAM!" reference on Universe Hot Shot's licence plate. :D
Eeep not me, I consider Armada the second dark age of Transformers. :D
However this new bot has a promising vehicle mode, can't see the bot mode well enough to make an opinon on that though, plus iwhat size is he? I will admit I'm more keen on minicons that don't turn into tiny earth vehicles. I mean what was up with that? the big TF's turn into space vehicles, and the minicons turn into minature earthen vehicles but are to small to camouflage themselves as actual earth vehicles, and too big to be toy cars.
So yeah similaraties to Target Masters and decent earthen modes could get me interested in this series, but for now I'm neutral.
Armada was a solid idea, its just that the execution was lacking. I love the idea of getting 2 bots for 1.
Flatline would like to have words with you about Glit being the only Decepticon medic...Quote:

Not to mention 2 unnamed background Extras playing the role of Medic..
GRAAARRGHH! I haven't read Tales of the Fallen Arcee yet!! (it's still sitting in my standing order waiting to be picked up cos last time I came in I only had enough dosh on me to grab the latest issue of ongoing G1 and Timelines Wings of Honour)... gah... <averts eyes> (T_T) I didn't read DD's GI Joe vs Transformers, so I was unaware of those background extras.
Anyway, Glit's the only other Decepticon medic toy afaik. (that's what I meant, but I wasn't specific - my bad) -- no wait, I lie... there's also Doctor Scalpel!! <smacks forehead> Heh... Doctor Scalpel reminds me of Dr. Evazan - both specialising in homicidal surgery. ;)
There are other Decepticon medics too including:
G1 Decepticon medic
Medicroids
Shattered Glass Hook
Shattered Glass Scrapper
In any case, I'm looking forward to adding another Decepticon medic to my ranks. One thing that used to irk me as a kid was at the end of a fight both Autobots and Decepticons would return to their respective headquarters to be repaired... Ratchet (and later First Aid and Fixit etc.) would repair the Autobots; but I had no toys to use as medics to repair the Decepticons. I would just have to _imagine_ medicroids going around fixing them. Damnit! :( Beast Wars wasn't so bad because everyone just used CR. ;)
That's because cartoon Decepticons throw their wounded out the airlock like in Transformers the movie. Why do you think there were so many generic purple seekers and cassetes and other Deceps in the first episode? Every time one of the seekers (other than Starscream), or cassettes got mauled they'd just apply "Megatrons Mercy" and put them out of their misery. Then they would repaint one of the genericons in their fallen comrades colours. Given the amount of personality they displayed no one could tell the difference. :D
"...The idea is that smaller robots combine with larger robots as armor or in this case a weapon. The larger robots combine with larger class robots in similar ways..." - SMHFConvoy
Wow guys looks like I was on the money :)
Now, will the smaller figures combine with the larger ones? By smaller I mean the main figure, not the mini-con
I find the concept of mini-cons transforming into close-combat weaponry hilarious.
"Hey, watch it! That's reinforced armour! You'll dent me! You call that a swing? My grandmotherboard could do better than that, and she's a disembodied spark! Hey, watch where you're putting that duct tap-mmmmmmmM!"
I think this looks interesting. In my opinion, the toys should be better than the return-to-Armada that everyone seems to be fearing because the gimmicks don't appear to be central to the toy, and the mini-cons have more interesting roles than 'plug into groin to activate missile launcher'.
Oh, and from reading the bio, it seems that this 'con is less like a Decepticon Ratchet and more like RotF Dirt Boss, in that he seems to be scheming constantly.
The transformation also appears to have the front of the truck become the legs, and the back becomes the rest of the robot body.
^Now that is funny...Quote:

These PowerCore combiners look pretty cool...and that's aboot all I can say...
Notice on the main figures shoulders there's what looks like peg holes?
Good call. Now how about using your powers of clairvoyance to tell me the next set of winning Powerball numbers! :p :D :pQuote:

I mentioned jokingly before that Glit doesnt do first Aid he just does surgery by slicing off the affected arts and then off you go, back to battle.:D:D
I always thought that in G1 that Soundwave, Hook and Scrapper were the ones doing the repairing along with some medicroids assistance. Otherwise, if you far damaged.... spareparts anyone?
I like this new concept of minicons - I like minicons. I have a separate shelf just for em. This is like Powermaster gimmick combined with armada minicon gimmick combined. NIce!
