Okay, so I own the BMF which is quite simply one of the best toys/playsets I have ever owned! Seriously, the thing is stunning!
I didn't think it could be beaten, until I saw (and read about)... this! That's right, the much-rumoured mother****ing AT-AT! :eek::eek: My God - this thing looks amazing!! If it's half as brilliant as the BMF it will be mind-blowing!

I am looking into the BMF now so I might look into this when it is released. Will it come with a Clone Wars style Speeder Bike or the ROTJ style?
Apparantly there is a larger scaled Slave 1 on the horizon as well
I still want to get the BMF too and WOW!! that AT-AT looks amazing!!! im going to need a bigger collection room methinks :)
I cannot recommend the BMF to you guys enough! Even if you are only half a Star Wars fan you will be very impressed by this thing! It's one of my prized pieces in my collection, and it displays so perfectly.
And as a huge Empire Strikes Back fan, I am all over this AT-AT.
Makes me wanna collect more of the vehicles from Star Wars (I've already got all the figures I'll ever want) so I might have to end up getting a TIE Fighter as well after all!
I guess I can be classed as a half a Star Wars fan :)
The new Vintage Collection has me very interested and I will be a Star Wars collector again for the first time since the POTF2 line
I want to get decent scaled vehicles but I don't know where to look. I am confused by Hasbro's reuses and repacks. Any advice?

Proportionally it's an improvement over the 80s toy, but still quite a way out. :(
I'm more interested in the apparent retooling of the snowspeeder, the proto looked like it might have air-brakes.

I am hoping they are planning to re make an X-wing soon ("maybe a Snowspeeder as well, but not as much") as although, i like the Movies "it" is the only thing i am interested in getting.
Target Elizabeth now have the BAT-AT in stock. The box is about half of the size of the BMF. It is selling for $200

I have the re-released POTF AT-AT from the 1990s and this newer release doesn't actually look like that much of an improvement. They've replaced the weird electronic sound/light box inside with a more accurate troop deployment section, but it's still so tiny as it's meant to be two levels. The speeder bike garage is nice but still too small.

Sorry for the noob question, but is it right to assume that the newer AT-AT is the bigger version in eruntalon's comparison pic?

Target at Eastgardens had a couple the other day for $199 and the catalogue says they'll be $149 during the sale. I'm desparate to get my hands on one but definitely worth the wait for the sale.
The new Star Wars AT-AT will be available for AUD$149 at Target stores across Perth during Toy Sale on 22/7 - 4/8/10
I may have to see how much they are in Hong Kong.

i only have 1 problem with it and that is it cant walk on its own other than it is awesome!!

Yeah it's definitely one awesome toy- keeping it at my girlfriend's place, most likely under the table which will have my USS Flagg on it that she's giving me for our anniversary.
