Transformers: War for Cybertron is up for pre-order
-
:confused:Any Limited Edition version with a figure as the rumours that were floating around were saying:confused:
-
I'd say ask game stores about that, though when I asked EB a little while ago, they told me they had no idea about it.

I ask EB every other week about a pre-order and all I get is blank looks and it's not on the computer system. Get online line and read up so you know what products are coming out:rolleyes:
-
That said, Game has it up on their page -> http://www.game.com.au/transformers-...n-3/TRANSCYBP3
But no cybertron/limited/collector's edition yet~
-
Awesome. I hardly ever pre-order but if this does come with bonuses, I might make an exception.

Same, I will only pre-order though if there are pre-order bonuses, I don't suppose anyone knows how long until we know if there are any?
I'm hoping the Wii/360/PS3/PC LE versions will all be the same.
Cause I don't want to have to buy four different versions of the game to get all the LE bonuses...
-
Keep on asking EB or Game or wherever until they know.
-
Yeh keep on them. Alhtough when I was hunting around for Tatsunoko vs capcom pre-order, I had people telling me that they couldnt do it until the cover slips were on the shelf (fake cases).
If that is the case, then I would guess that pre-orders at local shops would be a month or two away. MAybe open nxt month?

where'd you hear that :S
-
It was in one of the trailer threads, or the first figure preview threads. There was tal that Maybe Optimus was going to be available only as a deluxe edition game package.
-
Looks like the website is up -> http://www.transformersgame.com/

The rumours were about the WFC figures potentially coming as exclusives attached to preorders of the game. However, we know that the figures are actually going to see a mass release. (Although the no-show of WFC Megatron at the Aus. Toy Fair has me confused...)
-
Still quite possible there will be an exclusive with the game, whether it is an exclusive figure remains to be seen.

My guess that it might be an online skin, like the Shockwaveskin that was floating around somewhere. Probably some sort of downloadable content. A lot of games seem to do this now.
Good or bad? Hmm

But equally alot of games have some sort of "physical" item when you pre-order a game. Batman Arkham Asylum came as a collectors edition with a batarang, Call Of Duty 2 (I think ) came with working night vision goggles, Darksiders came with a figure, QH Metallica came with a bonus drum pedal... and so on. I think sometime next month we should know what we can get, if anything at all.
-
gametraders - $80 360/PS3
no pC
no special edition
wait for EB?
-
Yeah EB games appear to the biggest retailer of games so they might get a special release.
I recall the Batman Arkham Asylum with batarang was $150 which I got for the 360 and then I got the EB exclusive Bioshcok 2 for $150 which came with goodies.
Fingers crossed EB will have some good stuff as a premium release..... ;)

-
An exclusive comic? Sounds ok, but I will still see what EB and that have.
-
I'd be wary of that comic offer, all it says is that you get a transformers comic.
The exclusive bit could mean that only JB is giving away a comic with the game, for all we know it's just a random issue of the latest transformers comic :p
But yeah, wait for EB, but so far (sadly) the JB offer might be the best :(
-
I like the stylus a bit more, will maybe preorder both for the ds, I'll do one and my missus will do the other so we get 2 :D
But you're right, it could just be some random comic, which I hope not. Hope it has something to do with the game or back story of the game or something along those lines.
-
Since no US stores are offering a comic, I'm gonna bet its a random issue

I'm still burning that Shockwave will be a multiplayer character only. Glad to hear that he will be available in Aus for those that do play multiplayer.
On a side note, I also refuse to buy my games from EB.
-
Thats dissapointing:(
EB is the only games store down our way so that'll be the option for me I guess

Buy it from CDwow when it's listed, (I dunno, I havn't looked yet), or buy it from bigw/kmart/target. ANYWHERE but eb.

I live in a small town and am a small business owner. I do what I can to keep the local infrastructure growing. Department stores strangle the life out of small business.
-
EB is far far far from small business, it's a gaming monopoly that would put you under within a couple of months if you too sold games.

EB is evil - They are also rip off artists.
They have a lot of people under the bizarre idea that they are the best place to get games from. I personally feel sick when I walk by a store in a shopping mall and see it packed with people buying games at their ridiculous 300% mark ups which to them is a 'Sale'.
As mentioned before - There are better and far more economical choices. They are also easier and more convenient than EB.
-
OK you guys a missing my point. Basically if everyone orders from online stores or goes to department stores then that eradicates the need for small shopfronts (be it independent stores or franchises). I buy from ebay not to support them but to support the growth of my community.

Create a small business selling games. Buy new release PC games at $30ea from overseas and sell them for $50-$60 in your area. You will be getting a 80-100% profit margin and still be selling them at half the price of EB games. That way you benefit a small business in your area (you) and give people the right to choose where they buy their games promoting competition. This forces the evil monopoly to reconsider their inflated prices and also promotes market growth in your area.

Sounds great. Have you taken all business costs into consideration? If it was that easy I'm sure someone would of done it by now. BTW if someone did do it then I would support them

Then sell them privately :) You will still promote bussiness in your area if you become known. There shouldn't be any legalities attached since you are purchasing the items as a private individual and it is your choice if you wish to sell them again just as when you sell one of your spare TFs.
I just feel bad when people feel forced to buy from EB games when the prices they charge are outrageous but people seem to be unaware that there are other options.

I'm not going to continue this conversation as it is derailing the thread. I've voiced my opinions.

:(No incentive from EB for me as I don't play online with my 360:rolleyes:

Yeah my main motivation is the single player campaign as with any other game. However if people here want to group up for online play, I am happy to join.
Would there be multiplayer compatibility between formats?
