Yeah so it's a redeco in white - it was only a matter of time I suppose, but something about it appeals to me!

I was mildly excited for about 0.7 seconds til I realised it would just be a repaint.
Not exciting at all... but will have to get him still to complete the collection, sigh...
can't wait for the upgrade kit :p
Not even exciting to an Alternity fan like myself :( I agree with a comment on TFW however, the white repaint will make repro-labelling a Jazz an option!
snore
I guess no one seems to be as excited about this as I am! Lol :D
Price is obviously 4725 Yen, but can someone that can read Japanese, tell me what's the shipping cost for this?
alright!! this plus the reprolabels jazz stickerset pure win :D
I would have preferred a Stunticon repaint of this mold.
Yeah, I've never been much of a fan of repaint Magnuses... I only got Classics Magnus cos I wanted Skywarp.
But to be fair I don't think this toy is any better or worse than all the other repaint Magnuses we've gotten. And it makes sense to have it as a limited exclusive considering that it would have fairly limited appeal. It's what an exclusive toy _should_ be though -- it allows the minority of collectors who would want an Alternity Magnus to get one, but of course without unleashing case loads of shelfwarmers if the toy were done as a regular retail item. I much prefer seeing a repaint Magnus as an exclusive as opposed to say seeing Classics Dirge, Thrust and Thundercracker being released as convention exclusives (IMO they really should have been released as regular retail items... Acid Storm should've been the exclusive instead)
The same goes for Titanium Sunstorm and Skywarp. Sunstorm should have been the exclusive not Skywarp.
FYI, Alternity Ultra Magnus is now listed for pre-order on RK - judging by the lack of excitement here, I guess a group order is out of the question?
They did?! I've been ordering stuff from e-Hobby for like... forever, and I don't think they've ever accepted a non Japanese postal address. I've always had to get my stuff sent to an address in Japan then sent over to Australia. <shrug>Quote:

I just wished Robot Kingdom had the red one so it can go with our real 2009 Nissan 370Z
I just want to know what crazy Alternity powers he will have.
Probably the ability not only to deal with it NOW, but also in the past, future, and multiple dimensions.
Thought I would post this here as I cant see it posted anywhere else.
E-Hobby have released a picture of the packaging for Alternity Ultra Magnus.
Alternity Ultra Magnus Packaging
I actually really like this packaging and I don't know why, but this makes me want it more now.
Well I've organised the group buy for the Sydney guys for this already (sight unseen) and must say that I prefer the regular clear 'window' box of the other Alternity releases.
I think the packaging looks fugly...:(
there's a certain anonymity to the packaging. maybe they are trying to keep it as the mysterious UM ;)
Interesting packaging, but you tend to expect that from exclusives in Japan.
Purchased, but not on release (hopefully thats the correct decision)
