Farewell (I think?)...

As some of you may or may not have noticed, I've been fairly absent from here (and the Parra Fair) for awhile.

I still have a passing interest and buy new TFs every once in awhile if I see something I like at the shops, but gone are the days of trying to track stuff down and hunting from store to store for something in particular.

You can blame the two cars I've recently bought that are devouring all my time and effort (and money), so needless to say, my interests lay elsewhere nowadays.

I won't be attending any fan meets (or fairs) but will pop my head in every so often on the forum to see what the latest is.

For all of you guys that I've met over the past year or so on here, it's been a pleasure and I'm still in awe of some of your collections.

I still need to arrange to get some things from the group buys I organized to their owners, so if you guys listed below can PM me to arrange pick up (or delivery), it'd be greatly appreciated:

I haven't decided if I plan on keeping the 200+ TFs I've amassed over the past year or so, so watch this space for a massive clearance sale if I do decide to offload them all.

So, I guess it's farewell for the time being...

In my opinion you should keep your collection as it's part of who you are (were). Having said that, I'm happy to ensure they go to a good home ;)

You should at least try to get to the next fair only 3 weeks away if only for the morning. You can drop all your stuff off then too.

Keep the collection. But if you've really lost interest, I'm certainly getting my hand up to get some of those TFs :)

sorry to hear you go dude. But diverting cash to non-TFs does not stop you from interacting on the boards - it's free, as long as your internet allocation of cash didn't get diverted to to the cars...

keep the collection, you never know when the passion will reignite and then youll be even sorrier if you got rid of stuff then try so hard to re-acquire them down the road - and end up paying exorbitant prices than how much they are now.

As HD said, keep interacting as the forum is free anyhow.

I'm actually away that weekend, hence I can't make it to the fair, but I'm hopefully arranging for someone here to drop them all off to you guys, will keep you posted.

It's not so much the cash HD, it's just my interest in TFs come and go, I still buy them every once in awhile but I'm not really an active collector/fan at the moment... who knows, things may change and I might be back into them again full time?

I love sport cars too much liege, purchased a 370Z to drive everyday and an old RX-7 to modify and use as a weekend/track car.

Cars have always been my thing since my teens and I used to be heavily into the show car scene, but cut that down drastically a few years ago.

Can't make it to this fair unfortunately (see response above) but will endeavour to try and pop into one for one of my classic fleeting visits.

Good decision. It's not something you should rush into. I can understand not collecting anymore as I've made a similar decision (or cutting back substantially), but I could never sell off my collection because I know if I did I'd eventually want them back and would end up paying more later on.

Anyway, make sure that you pop by every once and a while to say 'hi' :)

Aww that sucks to hear... I know what its like to have funds diverted every which way except onto ones hobby.. But I hope that doesn't really have to stop you from being around and being a fan! (Fanship is free!)

Though I cant really talk... Ive returned to lurkerism my self for similar reasons! lol

Sorry to hear you will be leaving mate!

The inner Transformer fan will be there even if you decide not to possess or collect the figures themselves!

I know my days of being on the hunt are also dying down, but you should always enjoy the memories and fun of finding "that last figure I've always been looking for!" :p

Farewell for now ... who knows, perhaps some day you'll look back and the good memories of TF collecting will convince you to start again. :)

Paul, shame we wont see you at the Fair, but glad you'll be popping in and out.

+1 to the keeping the collection, BTW.

Though you may no longer be an active collector, there's nothing stopping you from continuing being a Transformers fan. ;) No number of toys can ever substitute one's sheer love and passion for Transformers. I hope to continue seeing you here and/or at meets -- I personally attend Collectable Fairs to socialise with other TF fans. I often walk away from the Fair empty handed. :)
