Absolutely loving Wheeljack, and a repaint and slight mod on Frenzy/Rumble would make a perfect Slag.

+1 :D Wheeljack looks awesome!

Looking good! Note though, the japanese text on some of those images is saying they're Hasbro versions.
Yeah they are still placeholder Hasbro versions. However they are not bad for those who want to get them locally.
I am still waiting for the real Takara-Tomy pics.
I don't mind these pics as it's good to see the figures minus the Photoshopping. ;):D
Wheeljack was an instabuy anyway, as is Scourge and Laser Rod Prime.
I'm still not sold on Frenzy or Rumble, I think I'll stick with my (Not)Frenzy/Rumble PE figures. :o
I really do not like G2 Prime, though I seem to be the only one who thinks that. Robot mode F/R look great, but alt mode does not.
Wheeljack FTW! This has to be the best repaint / retool EVER :D
Wow Great I'll be getting all of these :)
Ahh these are so bought... next year can't come soon enough.
And if those are the hasbro pics.. what would the United v. of Wheeljack look like? :D
Scourge is def buy.
I think I'll be getting atleast 2 Wheeljacks because he's my fav so far and looks too good.
I was not going to get F & R but those pics almost made me reconsider- will have to look at size and more reviews before I bite but they look really awesome.
The more pics of G2 prime I see the bigger the urge to bite aswell... ARGHHHH
I have to say if these are indeed Hasbro versions- the paint apps are much improved from classics/universe. Maybe it's since we haven't seen united versions to compare.
Damn I reckon it will be hard to find wheeljack. Scalpers will have a field day with this wave & Wheeljack- all F-R g2 primes and scourges galore while wheeljack will be nowhere to be seen.
That mould works so much better for Wheeljack defienate buy
I'm convinced the mould was made the 'jack and shoehorned into tracks. I'll grab 'em all!
I like them all but Wheeljack's head looks a bit strange - he looks like urahara from bleach wearing his bucket hat.
The way his wrist joints work, G2 Prime looks like he can point his sword at things. That's cool.
Yeah but remember that the original G2 Laser Prime was just an awesome masterpiece of a toy (even by current standards it still holds up pretty well for a 15 year old mould!). Also the original was a larger and more expensive figure (I paid over $100 for mine from Toyworld - and this was back when $20 would buy me a week's worth of fuel!), whereas this appears to be a smaller and relatively cheaper Deluxe.
Having handled Tracks IRL, I agree. When I saw Tracks' gun I instantly recognised it as Wheeljack's missile launcher. :) But hey... it works. The wings are a bit small for Tracks, but it works well enough. Interesting to see Wheeljack holding Tracks' missiles as hand held batons.
Time for a relay race! :D
Yay for Wheeljack! With him and the upcoming Generations/Reveal the Shield toys the only G1 character I need is Arcee. Come on Hasbro!!
Insta buy for all of them. I do like Frenzy and Rumble as well. Buying a few Scourges though :D
Wow... Wheeljack and Frumble look incredible!
I'm still pretty excited by Scourge and G2 Prime too, but the other 3 are brilliant!!
I see that fallacy that everything Takara does is by default better than Hasbro is still alive and kicking.
Well its true isn't it
Actually, it isn't. The opinion that that "everything Takara does is by default better than Hasbro" is indeed still alive and kicking. I, for one, am of that exact opinion. But as soon as you use the word "fallacy", your statement loses its validity, as opinions, by definition, can't be false.
Regardless, you're probably better off just stating your own opinion, as opposed to critiquing anyone else's.
I think he is getting at the fact that someone may believe that everything Takara does is better than Hasbro, and as such is their own opinion.
Although opinions can be false, in this case it comes down to how they feel about the subject.
True though that it still gets people ryled up about it is beyond me as well.
Whether something is "better" or not can be highly subjective because we all have different standards. I often talk about what I prefer, but that's not to say it's inherently better or worse. For example I much prefer the colours of Henkei Megatron over Classics Megatron's "Clown Colours." But that's not to say that Henkei Megatron's colours are inherently better or worse than Classics Megatron's. If someone happens to like bright clown colours then Classics Megatron would be better for them. When it comes to opinions it's really a matter of personal preference.
If someone actually happens to prefer everything Takara does over Hasbro, then from that person's point of view, it's true. I personally think Hasbro's MP Starscream was better done than Takara's, and I also prefer Hasbro's MP Grimlock with the G1 toy-accurate colours and crown over TOMY's (some people think the Limited MP Grimlock looks nice, but I've personally never been a fan of Yomtov's colouring, so naturally a toy inspired by his colouring holds no appeal to me). But say if someone else preferred Takara's "Greenscream" (it does have arguably a more realistic looking colour scheme for the alt mode) as well as TOMY's version(s) of MP Grimlock - and let's just say this person preferred all the TakaraTOMY versions of every Transformer, even if there's no difference with the toy (maybe they prefer the packaging, collectable tech spec cards, catalogues etc.)... then how is it a 'fallacy' to them that everything TakaraTOMY does is better than Hasbro?
We can argue that things are correct or incorrect when it comes to facts, but not so much with opinions due to the inherent subjectivity of the whole thing.
New G2 Prime Pictures (final product?)

i hate the grey gum plastic on g2 primes leg and front skirt. EW
Mold detail is lost when they use that stuff. Hate it.
Hasbro Gray™
I like the toy concept but after having a good look at the execution, the original looks to be the much better toy. I hate the head sculpt.
+1
I was saying recently that RID Scourge is a character that had an important and cool role in the fiction (even if it did start the Nemesis Prime trend), while Laser Rod Prime was just some toy from G2 that I knew about but never had and never had any nostalgia for.
The original G2 Laser Prime abounds in grey... so in a way, all that grey is kinda accurate. ;) The head sculpt would've been a whole lot better if the cheek guards weren't so high up. :/
Hmmm, dissapointed with the sizing, I guess he can be the match for galvatron in my liege Classicverse.... but as Sifun said on the gray's it's not really looking good... it doesnt have a trailer too so i guess we'll be seeing a third party trailer for this sometime after release:rolleyes:? Id still get it, if only for the nostalgia, after all with that sizing Im sure it wont be Voyager pricing - unless they (Hasbro) decides to put it in a Voyager box for the sake of bigger sales:rolleyes:;) - when we all know that the toy is a freaking deluxe - looks at Animated Lugnut (dont care if the toy is awesome - tell it as it is - a deluxe IS a deluxe, dammit!!)
I would only be dissapointed size wise if it was in a box bigger than Deluxe size. I give Hasbro enough money when I buy a Deluxe, when it gets upped to standard local voyager cost that's going too far.:(

This figure's engineering is awesome!
It is bloody good ay. Love the arms, quite ingenious. Definitely gonna buy a few of these :D
i watched that last night looks to be a freakin awesome toy, i reckon a couple of these with a united one will make a good little armarda
Scourge has an amazing transformation  Storing the weapons in his wing section is just pure awesomeness. I'm seriously thinking of getting him when he comes out.
