what does it say?
You have to ask???
Millions of school girls will scream at the sight of them.
Guess you've been living in a cave...
What's today's date?
I hope its the green seeker from MTMTE (I think he was Waspinator's Granddaddy) or at least Sunstorm.
fingers crossed for the green rainmaker, sunstorm has already been done to death.
Or a purple clone trooper from more then meets the eye
those are great ideas but unfortunately the exclusive nature of them mean we all likely will miss out. :(
not unless we arm ourselves thoroughly and storm Hasbro, demanding more toys
I could make out the part "Toy Hobby Market 1 year anniversary Transformer" (or something like that), about a limited Transformer.
I asked my wife and she confirmed that it's a Henkei Transformer, and that the website says it's popular (or will be popular).
Afraid our Japanese is rather rusty and we need the likes of Gok or Tetsuwan.
A legible translation would be much appreciated :) Please, my Japanese speaking friends?

*TallestBlue does not advocate Armed Robbery or any Violent act in the pursuit of Transformers, We're grown men, and they're toys.
Violence is always the answer. Just ask Brawn! (:
Green Seeker would be cool.
Violence forcing Hasbro to actually look after fans would be even cooler.:cool::cool:

It becomes it.
If it is a transformer fan, let's check it by all means.
And then they run in the other direction.:p
Something about the 2009 movie and henkei figure. No actual name has been whipped up. There is some kanji there I don't know, so I will have to get back when I have my dictionary with me.
I'll keep an eye on it. Nothing too exciting yet.
Let's just pray for Clasics 3.0
Let's just buy hasbro classics 2.0 so they have a market demand to even contemplate a 3.0. :)

I'd rather go for Henkei. I am trusting that Takara won't cut costs for higher profits on the finish like Hasbro likes to do.
But if hasbro doesn't do it, then you won't get your hentai versions. :D

Since Hasbro has placed Classics 2.0 in Universe, I get the vibe from Hasbro that they are not considering them much of a priority and would rather discontinue them but are only releasing them due to fan demand. They don't want to spend much money on them so they are being released within Universe.
Once all of the already developed molds originally intended for Classics are released that would be it for Universe Classics. They won't invest in R & D for future molds.
Takara on the other hand are having the right approach with Henkei by putting them in a line of their own. They have also released their own TF exclusive molds and releases in the past, so they don't always need Hasbro to do release something first.
Since all the Classics molds were developed by Takara, there is a chance that they will follow on with Henkei if the first waves are successful enough, hence a proper Classics 3.0 instead of crap Energon/Cybertron repaints like that Universe Blaster they are releasing.
You're right. After Classics 2.0 they wont be making new molds because they will be making the Movie 2 toys. Classics 2.0/Universe is Hasbro continuing to make realistic vehicles in between the two movies.
Once the Movie 2 toys are repainted and repainted as much as they can, the Universe line they should come back again with new toys.
Yeah
lets make 2008 the year we teach Hasbro a lesson!
We wont buy your paint , name, chromeless inferior, Universe who should have been Classics toys!
i hope its not another stupid jap toy that you have to be the first in the door of the shop gimmick, or like 10 ever made
Ooh, Classics 2.0 - Come On Down!!!
What if there was to be a Classics 3.0 down the line? (drools...)
How cool would it be if they used these moulds as classics 3.0 figures:

Damn I need a mop in here...
Forgive my ignorance, but what's that last photo? Obviously that's Shockwave, Cosmos and Arcee but I don't recognize the last one.
That protototype Arcee has some child-bearing hips on her alright! Bring it on :P
http://www.terminally-incoherent.com/img/facepalm.jpeg
:D That aside, I hope it's Thundercracker. Damn BotCon exclusives are too hard to get.
Those Prototypes were intended for Titanium, not Classics.
However if Hasbro was smart () they would release those molds in Universe even if they are made of plastic and not Die cast. Unfortunately Archer now wants to emphasize on only 'realistic' alt modes on any new molds released so the Classic G1 characters that did not have one such as Arcee, Cosmos and Shockwave will not see production.
DAMN YOU ARCHER!
we must overthrow this archer fellow with a revolution, French style, before he ruins everything
'realistic' alt modes...
Makes me wanna hop on a plane to 1027 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket, in Rhode Island & punch that sap right between the eyes!
Damn you A. Archer! Damn you to burn for all of eternity! :D
The Universe line includes an upcoming Blaster toy that by no definition is a realistic vehicle, so don't count these out just yet. The Arcee looks awful but better than a Chromedome repaint and I'd buy it anyway.
Note what Kup said: "New moulds"
Cybertron Soundwave is not new. ;)
Also wasn't cosmos slated for classics originally while shockwave and arcee were titanium?
I'd have loved a cosmos. They should remould that shocky and arcee for non-titanium production, as it's very obvious that they are very flawed to fit into being made from diecast instead of plastic.

If you look at the toy designs carefuly in those pics, particularly the joints on all of them and Cosmos' arms. They are very much in line with Titanium toy designs.
I could be wrong but I think that there was two versions of Cosmos, 1 for Classics that never saw the light of day not even a Prototype and Titanium which managed to get to the Prototype phase but never made it beyond.
Well, Archer is not a Transformers fan, he has said so himself. He will only see what he percieves to be the 'good' bussiness side of things. Realistic Alt modes in the movie line have worked remarkably well in satisfying both collectors and the general market so as a bussiness man with no fan reasoning, he will go forth with such because is what has made money in the market not because of what he would do as a fan.
However what he doesn't understand (most Corporate bodies don't) is that it normally isn't the case of one or the other but elements of both is what works better. G1 (first 2 years) is an excellent example of this, they had a good amount of realistic alt modes but also sprinkled the line with non realistic ones (Cosmos, Insecticons, Dinobots, etc). This kept variety going for buyers whose preference were withinn the realistic or sci-fi alt modes without overrunning a line with stuff that a portion of the market didn't want like recent toylines have. G1 succeeded in mass appeal because costumers had a choice that included a balance of both the realistic and Sci-Fi appealed to all without overwhelming neither. As we all know, G1 begun to go down when they concentrated too much in single elements (sci-Fi) in latter years and later on when they tried to cash in the success of other toy lines by mimicking them (Micromaster - Micromachines & Action Masters - Mask)
Like all things that succeed in life, its never an issue of one or the other, its an issue of striking a good balance which Hasbro seems to be failing at totally grasping since the release of Action Masters.
Edited for awful Grammar
