Less hair? hmmm no wilykit and kat? Im presuming the 2nd generation thundercats will appear much much later in the series.... if at all - Pumaira, Bengali and Lynx-O

Weren't they already Anime-y enough? I mean I will watch it and buy the toys, of course. (Especially those 8 inch toys that sound like Thundercats Classics!)

Kinda. Thundercats was among this 1980s craze where American cartoon makers were getting Japanese anime studios to do the animation. Transformers (Sunbow/Toei) was among them, as were The Adventures of the Galaxy Rangers (Gaylord/Tokyo Movie Shinsha), Mighty Orbots (MGM-UA/Tokyo Movie Shinsha) etc.
