I thought this might be a bit of fun and took the idea from Collectors on the ABC.
On the show they have a segment called ‘Now and Then’ which involves two of their hosts (Gordon and Adrian) making guesses on current auction items to see who can get the closest to the final price / bid.
Below are the rules –
- Only one Ebay link to be posted at a time e.g. while it is a current auction, no other Ebay auctions can be posted here
- Whoever guesses the closest final price / bid gets to post a link to another auction for everyone to guess on
- As per forum rules, links to Ebay must be for legitimate Transformer items only
- Everyone has one chance to post a guess and cannot edit their post once they have replied
- Guesses can be posted until the auction has 5 hours to go. Once there is less than 5 hours remaining, all bets are locked in
- All guesses will be rounded up to the final price e.g. my guess is $100; final bid price is $105; another board member has a guess of $106 – my guess would win the round.
- Obviously, no ‘Buy it Now’ auctions to be listed :)
- In the event that the auction is removed prior to the expected time, a new auction link can be posted by anyone
- Guess amounts must be in Australian dollars
- When posting your guess, please include other guesses on the current item within your post and a link to the auction. If posted seperately, your guess will be void. This will save time going through all the guesses to find the closest one
- In the event that the winner does not post a new auction link within 24 hours of the previous auction closing, it will be open to anyone to post a new link to an auction
There is no prize on offer for the closest guess, just bragging rights :D
