This is awful news! :( Stan Winston... has passed away! I loved his work... he co-designed the Terminator, the Predator and did visual effects on Aliens, Terminator 2 and Jurassic Park. :(

Sad day, the stuff he came up with was amazing.
I know T2 was a marvel for it's time (and still pretty damn good even by today's standards, but Jurassic Parks CGI is what will stick in my mind forever.
The guy had a hand in everything though!

It is sad news.
The man was an amazing talent.
I hope his studio continues to be true to him.
I remember seeing a photo of the studio's display reception area and it was full of life-size replicas of his creations like a Predator, an Alien, the T-Rex etc. It was an amazing photo and collection.
Yeah... he and James Cameron really broke a lot of ground in the special FX area! Cameron also co-designed a lot of those creatures (Terminator, Alien Queen, Predator).Quote:
