Yeah, they have really gone to town with the detailing on this. Its like you're wasting money by NOT buying it.
I will get it, when, I don't know.... but this is next level MP stuff.
-
That is absolutely stunning
-
So is this the show accurate or toy accurate paint job? :p

Show. The original toy looks very different with a grey and green colour scheme.

It's going to be really expensive, but it looks so good, can't resist. I feel like these Beast Wars MP's are pushing the envelope even more than some of the really cleaver G1 MP's we've seen of late.

Preoders are open on HLJ. ( Thanks TinyJazz )
https://hlj.com/product/TKT10926
There are some posed pics with MP BW Convoy as well.

Never thought I'd say this, but that price made me feel sick. $356 (which may not even include GST) is a bridge too far. I'll get this thing only if it shelfwarms and the price gets the guts slashed out of it on HLJ.
-
TLTC's preorder is up. $389. No matter where I get him from I'm going to be having to budget carefully to afford him.

$353.32 including gst at current rate plus post.
Seems fine, I won't be losing any sleep over it.

Are you sure that includes GST? I can't see anything that says GST included on that page.

Sorry Delta, I should have clarified - Y26670 + 10% = Y29337 / exchange rate of 83 = Around A$353
-
Ok, so does AmiAmi charge up front or upon release? I've never used these guys.

Just remember that the official exchange rate is mid-way between the two actual exchange rates used by financial institutions (about 2-4% on each side of the official rate)... so if you are using a Credit Card, it would end up being around AU$370.
Shipping on top of that will probably top $400 if sent on its own... and that's from the site that is likely to be the cheapest option.
HLJ looks like it will be about AU$400 (with GST) before shipping. :(
-
Not to mention that is based on today's exchange rate. We have no idea where it will be in January. But I'm thinking I might try AmiAmi with their price.
-
$311 at AE without gst and shipping

Fair point!
As a side note, now that we're all getting slapped with GST, I would encourage anyone who hasn't already to sign up for one of the Citibank international conversion fee-free debit cards. Claw back some of those few precious dollars!

I second this, I've got one too. Just have to make sure you have enough funds sitting there for when you are ready to pull the trigger on a purchase.

Citibank declines Pc chargeback and refused to entertain my friend. I suggest you guys consider properly. And yes within time frame limits and he is going through financial ombudsman

Register it to and pay with a Paypal account. Double the chance of protection. :p
-
I get the feeling that the size and the paint job, rather than complexity or part count, are the big drivers of the price in this instance. Look at the size difference between Megatron and Optimus Primal in the headline photo: http://news.tfw2005.com/2018/07/09/m...38#more-367038

I tried double protection once. :D:D

Except anything after six months if you do pay now , you be screwed.
Trust me, Paypal is not as innocent as everyone thinks.

Nowhere in their Product Disclosure Statement does it mention an offer of a lap dance or anything of that nature.
-
Man the extra GST makes the price just that much more difficult to justify..
Aaaaaand pre-ordered from amiami.:(
-
Went with hlj just to save on shipping cost.
Gonna have to really consider my pre-orders carefully, thanks gst
-
How much is the gst on a figure like this?

Just add 10% to whatever the asking price is of said site shows.
All retailers that comply show the initial price, only during payment phases will they show the added gst value
-
Bloody hell, that price. I'd sooner get FlameToys Tarn before this
-
Spread the cost. Skipping one cup of coffee during the work day through to the end of the year will provide the savings + some $$ to spare.
Then again, having a cup of coffee while skipping is asking for trouble...

Cut back on the smashed avocado.

Looks like Entertainment Earth is going to release MP-43:

RRP is US$319.99.

TakaraTomy have put up a 360 degree look at Beast Megatron in both modes, and some screenshots have been posted here if you can't get it to work on your device.

Why no one took a close shot on the MP Optimus prime-3.0's price tag in the above pictures?

The insanity of the price would've cracked the lens... :p
Prime's price is not listed on the card but it is on the promo leaflet:
