Nothing shocking or spoiler-ish, but the artwork looks very Gen1-ish... like a blend of Wildman & Senior. It would fit in well with the original comic series.

Hot rod is very... purple. I like that they are sticking with the original colour palettes, but wow he is bright!
That's a great retro style cover. I love the Aitken & Garvey style shading on it too.
For a comparison, the Geoff Senior cover of #81 can be seen here.
Heh, yeah, Hot Rod wasn't quite that purple in the G1 comics... more like a maroon. That's more like a Decepticon Purple(TM)! :p Ah well, I can see that it is meant to be a retro-style cover, and it works well. :)
He was purple in the Gen2 comic, just not as bright as that. I think who ever coloured #81 was told purple... but was meant be dark purple.
For me though, he should be a red or maroon... not dark OR light purple. Have we ever had a Hot Rod toy that was purple and yellow?
And in case Sky Shadow is watching - maybe it's just a varient... :p
Love the artwork  Very reminiscent of the Marvel series.
This is sweet!
Seriously, how can one not like TF art? - Especially when you've got the likes of this bloke scribing it?, why can't June/July come quicker already? :D
