I've seen these at a few Targets and some at Big W.
I was surprised to see that the Dinos are also in the Hero Smashers range, but I probably shouldn't have been.
I really want the T-Rex. Looks awesome.
A lot of the new dino's were being pulled out of their boxes and stocked on shelves here today... I gotta say the quality and detail is really disappointing. I have the original first edition Red rubber T-rex (and the baby one) from way back in the day and they are far more detailed than these hard plastic versions.
I was hoping we'd get a few really nice dino's I would be tempted to pick up but thus far nothing stands out that is worth even grabbing off the shelf, let alone buying.
I saw some of these at Target the other day. Can't say I was impressed; the toys appear to be too gimmicky IMHO. Disappointed to see that the Velociraptors are still grossly inaccurate. Even AoE Slash has metallic faux-feathers. Although they're probably being more screen accurate rather than paleontologically accurate. :o But otherwise the toys don't look terribly impressive.
Also... Indominus Rex?? :confused: 'Indominus' isn't even a word. 'Dominus' means "lord" or "master" in Latin (e.g. Anno domini = Year of the Lord), and 'Rex' means "King." So is Indominus Rex is like trying to say "unlorded king." Nonsensical! Indomitus Rex ("unconquerable king") would make more sense; and of course, English words like indomitable and indomitability come from indomitus. Nothing comes from "indominus" because it's not even a freakin' real word to begin with! Also, in keeping with dinosaur nomenclature, it should probably be call it Indomitosaurus Rex ("Unconquerable lizard king").
"Indominus" Rex indeed. This is one of the lamest names I've seen in scifi since "Unobtainium". :rolleyes: Unobtainius Rex. :p
Looking at some of the Hero Masher toys next to AOE Hero Masher toys on the shelf I wondered if there was some reuse of parts.

I've looked at the Hasbro Websites Jurassic World page, and have come to the following Conclusion: Toys in this line either look great, or look like, pardon my 'language', scrap.
Got the T-rex for my Bday. Love him. Solid plastic and paint apps.
Those mixed breeds look awesome but i don't really want anything but original dinos, not made up ones.

There is no such word as "Indominus" though. There is the word "dominus" which means "master" in Latin, but as a noun.
e.g. dominus servum salutat = "The master greets the slave."
If you want to say "master" as an adjective, then you're looking for "domitus," and thus its antonym, "indomitus," which is where English gets the word "indomitable" from (e.g. "the indomitable Gauls").
e.g. deo adjuvante indomitus = "We are unconquerable with God's help."
Paulbot's explanation (spoiler tagged in his post) does offer a plausible in-story reason (which I wasn't initially aware of). :o Indominus Transformiaunobtainium! :D
Yeah I knew that they came from meanings. I thought you were saying that it is compulsory for a dinosaur to have 'saurus' at the end of its name. Being the mini-non trained paleontologist I am I got up and nerd raged... lol :o Sorry. :p
Also yes Indominus Rex is a stupid dinosaur name. :eek:
Bought myself a Thrash n Throw T-Rex today. It’s so cool. It’s like a puppet. My Chihuahua and cat didn’t like it though.:D
Got the Fallen Kingdom Stegosaurus and Triceratops on the way too.
My son is really into dinosaurs and now on board with the Jurrasic Park franchise, I’ve been trying to pick up some of the toys for him but I’m really after the Mosasaur, yet I haven’t seen it released anywhere yet, anyone have any ideas where I could pick one up?

Recently picked up the Concavenator. It’s a unique looking dinosaur with a hump on its back. The play features ,it has a swinging tail, and a articulated jaw. I love all the unique dinosaurs for this line.
