Some times the Lego boxes are like guys with big cars: they are compensating for something small

I've been busy with Lego lately:
http://img176.imageshack.us/img176/8852/dscf4002tz5.jpg
All of the sets from eBay for way less than retail price so I'm pretty stoked! Only a few more to go! :D
I have to admit though that the thing w/ Lego I find is that it really amasses if u do not open them up and start buiilding. Those air-filled boxes take up massive amounts of space. I probably should stop buying and find time to build a more otherwise I'll be sleeping under boxes of Legos at this rate! :(
Nice haul STL. The little white mech with Gate Assault is one of my favorites. It was the first to have the hands with fingers out of all the exo's. the little "fly" mech with set 8117 is amazing as well.
You should get building!!! I can't possibly leave sets in boxes if its within my vicinity. If you still can't find the time to make them. Just get the bags out of the box and bag them separately and store/throw the boxes away. Have fun though. Exo-force were fun to build. That Orange Tank is fantastic.
My recent acquisitions (thanks to the sales):
- Creator, Ferry, Steggo, White Convertible
- Agents Mission 1-7 (will get mission 8 at TRU this Thursday, was hinted at a possible sale so I shall wait)
- Mars Mission: Hypersonic Craft, Ultra Drill and Crystal Reaper (already pictured previously)
Will post pics of the Agents once I get my hands on Mission 8.
Thanks to Target's sales (and my additional staff discount), I've been on a Lego binge:

Lego Agents Missions 1 to 7
Was tempted to pick up the Volcano Base from TRU but thought that I'd spent enough already (I have some classic space sets on the way as well) so mebbe next week. :)
I'm not jealous, Fungal! I'm just really jealous.
Nice pics Fungal. Isn't it nice to see how big the Agent's vehicles ended up? It was certainly a nice surprise.
I was tipped by a friend that there will be some Lego discounts this Thursday. So hold tight as I have a good feeling Mission 8 will be part of it. Only reason I held back was it wasn't a particularly exciting set besides the two exclusive minifigs to this set. The actual volcano base is a little bit bare. I just couldn't justify the $90 asking price.
My local TRU has the Volcano Base at $99 so if its on special this week, I'm so there. Just have to wait until my local Myers gets the Ultra Drill Walker and then I'm done with Mars Mission. Then with the Volcano Base I'm done with Agents - what will I move onto next???!! Oh well, there's always classic space sets I need to track down.....
What about the latest Castle sets? The Orc horde make for some mean looking machinery:
http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/k.../Lego-Orcs.jpg
How about the latest Creator sets. The white convertible in particular is excellent. With a wokring coverting roof that folds into the boot at the flick of a switch:
http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/k...reator2008.jpg
How about some green:
http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/k...-Creatures.jpg
Oh dear, I suddenly have this feeling of liking those Orc Horde sets, DAAAARRN! Those things look wonderfully nasty! Are those three the only released set for them so far? Hmmm Now how am I suppose to fit them in with the Lego town theme?....:p space need more space
Anyways been busy setting up the town to the other room (Lego room). Just a few shots.. too many mini sets incorporated within... so just have shots of the bigger ones, with the littluns spread here and there, still missing a lot, need to get more roadplates as well

Wonderful City Lego sets liege!!! I love those little cabins (red house with yellow roofs) and the cafe/food stalls scene! Very nice! Can I suggest you add Creator set 4996 Beach House to your city? It's mini-fig scale except for the chairs outside but its a wonderful house you can add to your city. There's a few other Creator houses you can add as well such as 4954 Model Townhouse.
The Orc horde, theres those three and also the Dwarven mine and Orc Ship. That Battle Wheel is exclusive to TRU so that's the only place you can get that.
Awesome Leige. Looks like you need some blue baseplates for water and an airport. That beachhouse Stompy suggested is good too. I bought two of them for my daughter who loved making them.
My acquisitions lately include all released Agents sets so far including 7 and 8, The SW Republic Fighter Tank and the Mars Mission Hypersonic Operations Craft. Also got the small Mars Mission fighter jet (unsure of name) but have modded it to be double the size with more weapons and a rear compartment to carry the Martian victim in.
That's awesome, Liege.
Yeah that is Voyager Animated Grimlock and Deluxe Animated Jazz. The Creator sets are generally huge. The convertible has an opening bonnet with engine, opening doors and of course the converting roof. The Ferry in the middle has the tip of the ship split open and the drawbridge goes down on both front and back via a little knob.
The Creator sets are generally heavy as there's usually more parts in them than regular sets as it mostly uses standard bricks and plates. But mainly because it contains about 6 pretty thick booklets that gives instructions for each of the 3 featured models on the box. So don't be too fooled by the weight.
:D:D:D:D Yeah I loves me OP's. Just cut off is the bigger trailer, Cybertron Prime, Alternators Prime and MP04 OP. I needs to get me more OP's. Any offers?Quote:

I also like the use of the crater plates for the construction scene.
Picked up at the recent Target toy sale.
8158: Speed Racer & Snake Oiler
8159: Racer X & Taejo Togokhan
8636: Mission 7: Deep Sea Quest

Both the Speed Racer sets are very neat, the cars are sleek and well designed. Only gripes is the interior of the cars are a bit bare, some weapons would of been nice and the sticker sheet oh god the sticker sheet (I'm looking at Taejo and Snake Oiler here). Other than that they look fantastic all lined up side by side. I really hope Lego do more of these minifig scale Racer sets in the future.
I really like the Deep Sea Quest set from the Agents line. That submarine is long, longer than what I had expected. It's about as long as my Lego Star Wars Republic Attack Gunship. I really like black trawler, Lego was nice enough to give you a spring loaded missile shooter instead of the flick ones that you usually get. But my favourite part of the set is the Slimeface minifig, he just looks absolutely fantastic!

Picked up Takanuva today. A good looking set. Doesn't look much like a hero, but man he is a good build
Thanks guys, took me three hours to figure out a more presentable arrangement for the roadplates seeing as I dont have a lot of choices to arrange it. Which is why Im hoping to get more. Sorry if the pics came out blurry, hard to focus with trembly hands. MV75 did you spot the pet monkey cleaning in the Fire station :D. there are a lot of nooks I didnt take a shot of (e.g. the crime scene, the runaway criminal, skinny dipper trio:D).
Stompy I saw those beach houses and am indeed going to get em, thank goodness for layby. TDD I actually saw blue baseplates but only on ebay, and Ive tried to bid on some ( some have islands design as well) but always end up outbid or back off due to it reaching such exorbitant price range. It would be great to have a lot of those though
Darn I really like those orc sets... guess Ill add that to the layby... darn TRU exclusive:(
Thanks to "encouragement" from guys like Stompy, STL and i_am_trunks, Mel HAS gone to the "BRICK SIDE"... And boy I'm still in a daze why the itchy finger picked up my first Lego set (since childhood) from the last day of the Target sale.
But you see, the BF sort of snatched it away from me instead:
http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r...s/sw-lego1.jpg
But the end result, done by the both of us was this:
http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r...s/sw-lego2.jpg
And I also took the Stego Creator set $55.62 from Kmart sale to put on layby with my TFs.  This is the beginning of the end...
Hey Mel don't blame me! I have yet to traverse back to the "Brickside", although I know it will only be a matter of time (15% Lego at Kmart, and I know they have Lego Batman-Batmobile...uh-oh.)
Has anyone seen the Mars Mission Ultra Drill Walker anywhere else aside from Myer? And is the Agents Volcano Base a TRU exclusive? Checked out my local TRU today and that wasn't on special although the Creator Convertible, a Coast Guard set (can't remember which one) and Mars Mission ETX Infiltrator are all on special.
I think the Ultra Drill Walker is exclusive to Myer as I haven't spotted it in any other places. Same deal with the Volcano Base which I reckon is a TRU exclusive.
Each of the majors appear to have received the new Lego stock (outside Lego Star Wars) except for Big W. So we shall wait and see what they get.
Picked up Volcano Base today :) Pics later. Although that pretty much ends my Lego wants for this year. Unless I decide to pick up some Technics.
Newly acquired classic space:

Roboforce Robo Rapter (MISB)
http://i139.photobucket.com/albums/q...sitions106.jpg
From top, Blacktron II Tri Wheeled Tyrax, Sub Orbital Guardian, Space Police I SP Striker, Blacktron I Renegade, Space Police I Galactic Peace Keeper
Oh wow. I had almost completely forgotten about that line. I used to have the Robo Master set as a kid. It wasn't a very good set. Kept falling apart. Ending up gluing it together so it would hold. Very bad idea.
Anyway. I picked up Brutaka today from the Forest Hill toy kingdom. only $25, pretty good. Also hasn't been made since 2006 so I thought it was a nice find
Hell yes guys, there's no turning back... oh ohh... :D
Aww come on trunks, Lego batman batmobile only $69.70ish at Kmart after the sale and it looks good too!...go on.. you know you want it.. :)
Anyway, more Lego goodness here:

I think at the moment I'm not collecting any series of particular, I'm just buying those that I like cause I'm still pretty new to it. Don't quite like exoforce though for some reason. :p
can someone please post pics of the agents base
also how many will there be in the Agents mission series?
and how many altogether in the mars mission series?
thanks
Here's the Agents Mobile Command Center base I posted earlier.
STL is correct with Agents sets. There are 8 with Mission 8 exclusive to TRU (at the moment).
Mars Missions have this much sets: http://www.brickset.com/search.aspx?...Mars%20Mission
Yeah I got it on the Thursday night of the Kmart sale. Wanted to build it on the weekend, but spent all weekend taking apart and then rebuilding the gf's car, that I am really not in the right mood for lego.
Had to decide between the Batman and Convertible Car creator set, Batman won out.
Picked up these the other day.
6212: X-wing Fighter
4210: Coast Guard Platform

http://img301.imageshack.us/img301/8287/73048415et3.jpg
I've been wanting the Coast Guard Platform, cheers for the heads up from here that it's available at K-Mart (and with a 15% off Lego sale makes it even sweeter).
And I picked up the X-wing Fighter at Toys 'R' Us while I was at it. I mean five minifigs (well six if you include R2-D2), that's a pretty nice deal.
Now to find some time to build these two.
Hehe. Nice to see Mel into Lego finally. Enjoy!
Which Batmobile are you two talking about? The Tumbler? Or the Creator set or the old Batmobile?
And that X-Wing is great although so overpriced (like all Star Wars and Indy sets). They threw in all those minifigs to bump up the rrp to the ridiculous amount it is on now.
Yeah once you're, in, it's hard to stop! I'm talking about the latest one at the stores, the bat mobile with the joker (ice-cream like) truck. :) It's the tumbler I think, 7888. Price after discount still a bit too steep for me though, so I didn't get it.
Instead, I got these! Speed Racer one was the last set at clearance price, Mars Mission one was $29 after discount. I kept walking up and down the Lego aisle thinking what to get.
http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r...mes/Lego-3.jpg
Now I think I've got one set from each series: Batman, Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Mars Mission and Speed Racer. :D
Charlie Sheen obviously approves ;)
$34 is an excellent price for that Speed Racer set Mel. Well done! :)
