Just curious how many of the Melb members felt the earth shake this evening?
I'm in the southeast suburbs so perhaps was closer to the tremor's centre 5.5km north-west of Korumburra in South Gippsland?
The house definitely shook though and I thought it was a really strong wind at first.
supposedly we felt it. i was at work so i didnt, but the parents and the missus did
My mum felt it at home (Mont Albert North), I was at work (Bulleen) and I can't say I felt a thing.
i believe i was in my friend's car when it happen and we felt nothing at all.
We were walking along Lonsdale St after the movie when it happens, but we didn't feel a thing...:confused: Later, I saw the report in the news.
Was anyone's TF collections effected? Because this kind of thing happens all the time in Japan and our toys (as well as a lot of other stuff) typically tumble over. This is why Takara usually designs their TF packaging to be resealable, even carded figures - as most collectors in Japan store their toys in packaging rather than displaying them loose.
I don't even want to think about what a tremour would do to my collection now... (-_-) <knock.on.wood>

i felt it. was having dinner at QV, thought it was just shakey air con or something.. lasted a few minutes.
didn't even know it happened until my misses told me this afternoon.
I was told it happened at around 9 or 9.30. if so I would have been watching The Watchmen and probably thought it was just sound vibrations

Must of been just us eastern suburbs. My pal in Balwyn and Doncaster felt it as well.

Again...I was walking at that time from my afternoon coffee. And again, I didn't feel it happen. Either I should start reduing my caffeine intake or maybe it's time for me to see a doctor..:rolleyes:

i was one away from godlike...., when the quake put me off.....
apparently people felt it at work but occured during my run down the stairs dam it! So i missed it...we thought it was the heli's and jets for the airshow going past but apparently not!
I missed it too and I was just sitting at my desk. :( That's two I missed (tho of course I don't hope there's a 3rd)
I didn't feel a thing.
not to put anyone on alert but i think something big is going down at Korumburra (the rumbles you felt a few days ago and two weeks originated from this location)
look back from Jan 12 and trace to current and there's the trend
Melbourne's shaking again: with a 5.5 earth tremor centred at a depth of 5km in the south east of Victoria.
Really interesting to follow the story via tweets and Facebook updates and I've got the AM radio on listening to callback about it.
Yeah felt it for about 10 seconds as I'm on the fifth floor in the CBD. People got pretty excited about it in cyberspace.Quote:

Frenzy can't make quakes - he uses sonic energy/sound as a weapon, sometimes by screaming like a Banshee! :D 'cept for that one time in Transformers The Movie... but then again, the G1 cartoon never did quite get Frenzy's characterisation right (heck, they couldn't even get his colours right! :rolleyes:) The closest we saw was in The Ultimate Doom when Soundwave attacked the Autobots with 'audio disruptor waves,' -- which isn't one of Soundwave's powers but closer to Frenzy's.
