Looks really nice but also expensive. Near Ultra Class RRP for a Voyager, and that's before postage.
Has anyone heard anything else about this item, as I haven't seen it pop up on any of the American fansites yet.

The images on TFW is the one in this topic, but they refer back to the movie ticket redeco... so I'm not sure if it is the same toy that will be available at both sources, or a different toy between the two.
The link in our topic's first post is for a 7-11 exclusive, that notes that it doesn't include a movie ticket... so maybe it is the same toy, but they want people to realise that their promotion is not related to the movie ticket promotion.
(maybe a bit of a spoiler in that 7net page, or just an assumption from the trailer, noting that this is a dark colour of Optimus as he appears in the movie when he "fell to the evil side"... )Quote:

Never mind.... a little further on the TFW topic says that it is indeed two different promotions, but the same toy... both at 7-11 in Japan.
Dark Optimus w/ Movie ticket - pre-order from April 28th - released July 25th - 6368yen (Movie starts there August 4th)

Speaking of Japanese exclusive Voyager Optimus... while researching this topic, I found that the regular Voyager Optimus toy (Hasbro wave 1 toy) was exclusive to ToysRUs in Japan in April, released when the first 8 Movie toys were released in Japan.
That is very unusual, as it could mean that Japan doesn't get the new Voyager Optimus toy... or it could just mean that TRU JP have this deco as an exclusive, but when the main toyline hits Japan closer to the Movie (it doesn't screen there until August 4th), they will have a better colour deco Optimus, or just release the Leader sized one to regular retail.
(but to be honest - if TakaraTomy were to have just one of the two first wave Voyagers released to all retailers and one as a ToysRUs exclusive, they should have had the new mould Optimus go to all retailers and TRU get the TF4 redeco Grimlock)
TakaraTomy have tweeted out two images of the exclusive Dark Optimus toy, both in robot mode though.
