Voting for Lego Voltron @ Lego Ideas
-
I like, but it needs five pilot mini figs!
-
You'd imagine Lego would put them in if they decided to go ahead with this.
Although this would cost a fair bit. The small Lions look like Lego would sell them for $50-80 each.
-
That's pretty awesome, I do wonder how well it stands unassisted.

can't see it doing much dynamic pose lol :D

I rarely take much interest in Lego boxed sets (although I occasionally get them for my kids when they ask) but I don't think I could resist walking past this if it was made.
I'm a sucker for Voltron.
And mini figures would be the icing on the cake!
I signed up just to vote for it. Hope they get enough votes to see it become a reality. :)

I notice that for the combined photo it is right up against the backdrop.

signed up and voted...
I would sooooooooo buy one of these if they make it :)

Definitely voted. Not sure if LEGO would really approve if it passed the voting stage, considering how large and expensive it would be. But I'd like to stay optimistic and this is something I'd definitely love!

Can you believe this set has ALREADY got the 10,000 votes needed to be reviewed by lego as a viable design???
So delighted to see it move so fast.
I wonder how hard licensing would be. We have to wait until the review in September to find out I guess...
-
wow that was fast, only few weeks
-
Just goes to show how popular Voltron is  Transformers, Robotech, Thundercats & Voltron :D I'm back in the 1980's :)

World Events Productions (rights holders for Voltron) can be quite reasonable. That unofficial Mad Toys Voltron that came out in 2014 is now seeing an official release. And considering Voltron is on the comeback train with the new TV show, Lego have a good chance of makin this happen.
... If they want to. Lego might not be interested in doing Voltron.

I think so too, I certainly think people can buy lego piece and do one up themselves. I did Star Wars Millianium Falcon before there was an official one so people just need to think outside the box.

I saw it come up on Facebook a couple of times, and I think I saw it on Kotaku. That kind of exposure would help.
