I was at the Nexus toy fair (in July I believe of this year) and someone was selling a G1 Metroplex ahhh does anyone know who he / she is (Im sure it was a He)... I mean the person may be on the board...

I think I saw the one you mean. It was there when I got in but was gone about 10 minutes after.
My mate was selling one in Feb or March. i think he still has it. it was around the 60 mark...it's mostly complete...................mostly
I had one but it sold.
