Would anyone be interested in going to the Australian 2009 Brickvention.
It is going to be at Victoria Uni in Melbourne's CBD over the Australia Day weekend.
Also
EuroBricks has just posted a whole bunch of high quality 2009 pictures
Bionicle
City
Indiana Jones
Pirates
Power Miners
Spongebob Squarepants
Star Wars
Love the city ones.
I probably wouldn't get some of those construction ones though, the ones that look like they were translated over from their technic brethern. Same as the combine harvester.
That minifig set looks ace though. I'm sure Leige will buy a few of those to add to his city. :)
Another Krusty Krab?
Looks similar (in that it is not a full KK, only a wall or two) but the Vehicle looks good.
However the Pineapple House will have to bought, squidwards new head looks good, and the gf really needs a Gary figure.
Oh definitely! 100%
No lamb on the barbie for me, I'll be there!
EDIT: Just checked those SW 2009 images. Some look great. Interesting they're re-releasing Vader's Tie in a different colour scheme.
The mini sets are great for anybody wanting to do a scale battle scene.
Heh, I never even bothered to look at the starwars ones until I saw you mention darth vaders tie fighter there Mr Digger. :)
So I had a look, looks good, and I like the mini snow speeder and the mini tie fighter. The rest is as I expected though, weird and stupid looking clone wars crap. :D
The Indy temple of doom car chase set looks freaking sweet. :)
The pirates are just full of win.
Powerminers..... meh..... exoforce meets mars mission I guess. Not to my interest on a whole, but if I was interested in fantasy rock mining adventures, they look good enough.
I don't actually mind the look of this one:

I think it would make a good buggy if you ditched the 2 long arms and the scoop at the front, although it's still alright with them.
I'm hanging to see what they have lined up for space next year - I remember reading it was Galactic Patrol which to me brings back memories of Space Police. The new Pirates look rather sweet, might have to break the mold and start on them now that I've pretty much finished Space, Exo-Force and Agents.
