Australian Transformers Price Comparison Listing 2015

This a price comparison listing of non-exclusive Transformers toys in Australia, for collectors to use, and archived for future reference.

This only covers the nation-wide store-chains that carry toys - BigW, Target, Kmart, ToysRUs, Toyworld, Myer... plus Coles and Woolies on just the smaller figures. (currently David Jones does not stock Transformers)
Independent stores, import stores and comic shops are not included.

PLEASE POST any missing or changed prices (here or in the sightings section), and it will be added to this first post.

Prices are rounded to the nearest dollar if it is within 10 cents of that dollar.

This morning I went around to all of the Majors at Garden City (except DJs), with barcodes from packaging I already have (GEN Legends, GEN DLX, GEN Voy, RID Legion, RID Warrior, RID One-Step, RID TinyTitans - but not RID Hyperchange because it was too big to sneak around the stores to use their price scanners)... to see what prices were already in their computer systems.

The prices I got so far, has me pretty sure that the unusually cheap Toyworld prices may have been due to something like an early-bird discount on their first shipment of GEN toys just to get them out to market quickly (before the other stores get around to stocking them)... as the only time Toyworld are ever cheaper than other store-chains is when Hasbro sends them old stock on clearance.

Kmart had all but TinyTitans (and Leader pricing was supplied by one of the Deluxe Members).

Myer didn't have any in their computer systems yet (I had a staffer test them out, as they don't have price scanners in-store).

BigW didn't have any in their computer system yet either.

The Toyworld prices in the first post are from Sightings postings.

I didn't ask at David Jones, but will ask Hasbro at Toyfair if they have started stocking Transformers again yet.


Some store-chains may well be waiting until the March Toyfair in Melbourne before they stock the 2015 range... so if something is missing above, it doesn't mean yet that it isn't coming.

So no $10 or under figures again? That means no impulse buys/ child nagging sales and really for $20 you can get much better value for money from numerous other toy lines, let alone Lego.

Just thinking like a parent or other adult buying for kids, rather than a collector.

In the main lines, no... but there will be the Tiny Titans and Kreo Warriors that should be under $10 if you (or the kid) goes for the blind-bagged concept.

Added in the remaining TRU pricing, now that they are now listed on their website - Legends - Deluxe - Voyager - Leader.

I have updated as much as I can from the stores nearest to me... which means I am missing a lot of prices for BigW because my nearest one hasn't restocked in months.
