Yeah. I think it is nearly to scale though looking at that linked pic.
And even though the box is a decent size it's more than half empty and very light.

DirtyD scored me the Hoth base and the X-Wing (and the Indy Temple Chase). I had to setup a little Hoth scene to celebrate:

LOL very cool Jd. Now you just need about 2000 standard 2x4 white bricks to build around that door.
EDIT: Also it's good that the Han and Leia figs from the X-wing can get used in the Hoth set appropriately.

Just got home with this baby; 7676: Republic Attack Gunship.
It was a tad awkward carrying it through Melbourne Central and on the train ride home, gets a bit tiring carrying a big long box under your arm whilst you have a bag full of textbooks in the other. Got quite a few looks from passerbys as my friend said, well it does stand out quite a bit.
Currently it's sitting on my bedroom floor, I have no classes or lectures tomorrow so I'll be devoting the whole day building this. So (hopefully) expect pictures of the finished build tomorrow. I seriously can't wait to get stuck into this.
I want one so bad but I could never justify the price. I'm just not enough of a Lego / Star Wars fan.
I'm so tempted to get some of the Star Wars sets to hold me over until the new Mars Mission and Missions sets arrive down under but then my completist attitude would dictate I track down all the SW sets so I'm holding back. So I'm just biding my time acquiring older space sets from the Blacktron era through to UFO.

Regretted not getting the original Lego X-Wing from TRU when they were on clearence... :o
A couple of things about Exo Force I really love are 1) the articulated hands/fingers on some and 2) the big, beefy, mean-ass weapons.
Lego Space originally never did come with decent weapons (except IMO Galaxy Commander) so it was always a case of having to make custom guns to feel adequate.
Yaaaay finally my toen has a hall, and a cinema too and another gas station with carwash although tis a bit vintage with a nice fountain for the park :D:D

Drool... :p
I believe only certain Myer stores are stocking that vintage town plan set?

Liege, it seems as though the only thing missing from those pics are some Seacons trashing it up... (ala the 1st ep. of Masterforce :D)
Got this baby today. Expensive s.o.b. imo for the size of the box. When it's finally made I'll replace most, if not all, the off-coloured bricks with brown to give it a more even appearance.
STL: I went back to the place I scored 8103 from and they had heaps of 8102, 8104 and 8105's but no 8103 sets left.

Thanks for looking though, Digger!
After a 2 week drought, some new Legos:

Space Police II Galactic Mediator, Solar Snooper and Ice Planet Deep Freeze Defender

UFO Cyber Saucer, Warp Wing Fighter, Alien Avenger and Radon Rover

Spyrius Lunar Launch Site
Looks good as is, has a weathered/rusted look to it. You might turn it too boring if you make it clean.
So am I the only one not liking the new starwars lego? Seems too overwealming to me, and I don't like any of the 1/2/3 series vehicles at all.
Also, does anyone else feel that lego is selling out too much? I mean, just look at it, starwars lego, batman lego, speed racer lego, indy lego, etc.
I'm really liking their own created series much better these days. I still hope that the new space ones are good as I still havn't seen them yet...
I am seeing your points there...
...nonetheless here's my latest. Still haven't taken myself to see Clone Wars yet so I feel sorta wrong buying The Twilight when I have no firsthand experience flying it.
Also another Mars Mission just coz I thought this was a pretty cool fighter.

I liked the first run of it with the skeletons best. :)
And I really like the town sets. Looks like that is their main staple as it's been going strong over the years.
No, I mean their main staple. They've kept the town line and keep expanding into different aspects every year. :)
Ah. Gotchya. The same article reflected that City, Space and Castle are their staples. They will always revisit each periodically.
Great lot Fungal. Very nice. I like the older sets compared to the new ones in the sense that there's a lot more obvious conventional Lego pieces being used. Not that I don't like the smooth surfaces a lot of today's legos have, it's a nice classic feel.

The first 4 Exo-Force units. They look very nice and there's the great fold up flaps to boot. Can't wait to build them. Lots of wasted space though.
The alternate models for 7700 and 7701 are excellent. Build them if you can. There's some official "instructions" for 7701 here and 7700 here but they are pretty sparse and a lot of guess work required as it skips a lot of steps. Rest assured they are both great alternate models and I actually prefer them over the originals.
7703 is the least interesting of the lot and 7702 is my favorite in that line. Most likely due to the fact that it's got a more fully formed body than the flat backed others. Enjoy them, they are great! I'm still mourning the end of the line. :(

Was at Chadstone Shopping Centre today, picked myself up 7681: Separatist Spider Droid from Toys 'R' Us and 8631: Mission 1: Jet Pack Pursuit from K-Mart, I was actually looking for the new Transformers Universe toys there but alas there were none so I grabbed that just for the heck of it.
Wow, that spider is the first 1/2/3 vehicle that I like the look of. :)
And is that a chainsaw that agents guy is holding?
His name is Saw Fist (according to the back of the box), that's his actual arm. :p
Ha, that is too cool. :)
Now here's hoping they'll have a hook hand pirate in the new pirate series coming. Maybe even peg legs too.
They've had a hook-handed, pegleg pirate for ages.

Freaking sweet. Even has Pauldrons. :D
Just missing the parrot. ::)
Hang on...at home now so I can take a pic of my own.

That is cool. I hope they do a small set next year so that I can get that figure, or one like it. :)

Exo-Force Completed
That completes my Exo-Force collection, and as for classic lego, I've acquired every M:Tron, Explorien, Ice Planet and Space Police II set. Just need a few more sets from UFO, Blacktron I and II, Insectoids, Roboforce, Spyrius and Unitron to complete the entire classic lego collection (not including vintage stuff which I have no interest in.
