I picked up to Clone Wars sets from the K-Mart sale.
Magna Droid Starfighter and the ATT
Both are very nice sets. Interesting builds too.
Drove all over Sydney looking for these:

Really impressed by Aqua Raiders, very underrated yet very well designed vehicles. The Batman sets are rather cool too, such a shame that I will unlikely be getting the earlier sets since they cost a mint on the secondary market.
Aqua Raiders are awesome sets! That submarine is utterly gorgeous and made an appearance , although repainted, in the Lego Batman game as the Penguin's Submarine.
Aqua Raiders was designed by the same team as the Agents team.
I still need set 7776. I gave it a miss when TRU had them before xmas and now I regret not getting it. :(
I picked up 7776 at TRU at the clearance price of $29.99. Last one though otherwise I'd help you out.
My massive haul from Brickvention.
Couple of discontinued sets at cheaper than retail.

I'm guessing you went there early Digger. Didn't see those items on sale. I did manage to get some truck mini-sets I've been wanting for a long time (7223, 4911) and that mini jeep/hummer (7602) and I finally have an italian chef mini-fig with that ice cream piece.
Thanks for the thought Fungal. :) The set was just a little too pricey when it released at $60 for it's size, now it's totally slipped my mind and I wasn't even aware it was on sale. I might hunt the TRU's around here and see if there's a the lone straggler hanging about behind some newer sets. You didn't manage to find the Aqua Raiders base or the smaller sets?
Just got republic cruiser 7665, republic attack shuttle 8019 and a bag of soccer lego from trash and treasue :)
Ask and ye shall receive:

Found these at a TRU way far from my usual hunting grounds. The base had a damaged box so it was reduced to $89 from $119. Just need the Angler Ambush set (on its way) and I'm done with Aqua Raiders II. :) Incidently, new 2009 Indy sets have been sighted at a Kmart which incidently has 15% off Legos.
Great goings with the acquisition. I've ran out of room and am dismantling most of my Lego. Got a few hundred zip lock bags and storage bins and started. Sore fingers prevent me from doing too much at a time. I've had to make room (Thanks to TF figs) and they were gathering way too much dust. Am only leaving my Agents and Mars Mission sets on display. Oh, and the Technics as well, because bugger if I'm going to try an dismantle them.
The indy sets haven't really grabbed me bar the great cars and jeeps. Will check out and see what sets are out.
I'd say 3/4 of my Legos are in ziplock bags. I go through phases and display whatever happens to be the "in" theme at the time. Like when the new Mars Mission sets came out, my shelf was all Mars Mission. The Agents came out and that became the display item of choice. Now, in order to show a bit more variety, I tend to mix it up so I have say 2 of the best sets from each theme. At the moment though, I've broken that rule and Aqua Raiders and Castle is hogging the limelight. If I had a spare room, I'd set up the ultimate diorama - all my classic space sets mingling with each other *homer drool*.

Scuderia Truck in comparison to Agents Truck
nice!
The TheCleanKindAndNiceDigger dropped off Vader's Tie Fighter to me today. Thank you, sir!
I didn't realize the Scuderia truck was that big! Very nice.
I indulged in some Lego this weekend:

L-R: 8990 - Fero & Skirmix, 8979 - Malum, 8991 - Tuma
Front: 8977 - Zesk
I'm not the biggest Bionicles fan due to huge disappointments with the one or two I bought the past few years but these hand-picked one's were great.
Zesk is a nice little 4 legger. I love my 4 leggers and this little dude is a lot bigger than I imgained and a top notch looking small set.
Malum is your typical standard Bionicle. Usually the regular Bionicles is pretty sparse in terms of build and armor layers, but this one caught my eye due the heavy armor and large claws, rather than wasting pieces on huge weapons over a skeletally bare robot frame.
Fero & Skirmix is a nice little combo. The picture is a little misleading as the two big ones on the ends are the size of a Leader class transformer figure. Fero (the black rider) is your standard small set bot. Skirmix is a nice Raptor like creature with double jointed leg links and double jointed neck. Also comes with faux suspension for that extra mechanical working look. A great build and what I expect out of Bionicles.
Tuma on the other hand is the best Bionicle set I've ever laid my hands on. The build was fun and interesting, with plenty of layers and links as opposed to the basic limb builds of the regular sets. He has the faux suspensions on the legs and double jointed arm and leg links. He is very tall and looks the part with his black and fluro green scheme. Also nice to see that Bionicle figure now have proper hands.
Might have to try some, Stompy, good reviews. they do look fun but I findthat the parts aren't usable for more of the thinks I'd like to build which is why I avoid them generally
Bionicle parts are their own thing. Using Technic style pegs and ball joints galore. Cheaper, softer plastic used for the bulky parts (Hasbro grey!!!!) and a build system that is quite difficult to get into. With saying that, there has been some phenomenal MOC pieces out there that baffles my brain, because I for one cannot make a fancy looking one even if I tried.
Plus any MOC's out there just makes me sad. Shows just how crap my creativity is.
More new stuff!

Thanks to STL for the heads up. Will spend most of tonite building these babies. Wasn't going to grab them all but since there are combined alternate builds (ala Exo Force) with all the sets, I decided I want them all. Left the other two sets ont he shelf until a 15-20% off sale.
Where did you guys find these??
Target fungal.
Prices:
8956 - $10
8957 - $13
8958 - $20
8959 - $40
8960 - $50
8961 - $100
Ok, prices. Not sure if the large set is worth the $100 though.
U got suckered in bad! :p
I almost got suckered in for the combined mode of that big green drill but didn't. Having all that extra cash now makes it so much more tempting to just grab stuff but I'm holding it together still. Just. :o
I hope the top one is for your daughter. :p
With thanks to the Target sales I went hard and picked up:
Power Miners
http://i139.photobucket.com/albums/q...sitions162.jpg
Speed Racer
http://i139.photobucket.com/albums/q...sitions163.jpg
With the sales these all ended up 20% cheaper but then I added my staff card to get an additional 5%. Speed Racer sets were all on clearance so I got them all as well. Was up until 3 am this morning building everything. Now I have nothing left to get until new Agents, Pirates, Castle and Space Police come around. :(
Holy son of a gun. WTH did you get the money for all that?!?!
So jealous.
Blame Hasbro. The fact that theres no new TFs on the shelves at the moment means I can spend my cash on other things. Hasbro, get your shit together!!
QFT +1
The Power Miners ended up a lot better than I expected. While I still believe they are overpriced, the designs and especially the build were very enjoyable with this line.
I picked up the City Dozer and the two new Creator Sets today. Time to get building.
Hey guys, do you know if there's still any 'Town Plan' sets hanging around in Myers anywhere? They never got them in at Hobart or Launceston Myer (surprise surprise), but at least Myer has the nice $8.50 postage option.
Other than that, I'll have to get it through the Lego shop (for $50 more plus $40-odd postage and a 3 week wait).
I guess the smart thing to do there would be to purchase a few items at the same time to keep postage down...the freight train still needs a passenger train and station to keep it company, and probably wouldn't hurt to pick up one of those minifig packs to keep the city from looking so deserted.
I swear to god there's one cop, firefighter and Batman for every civilian. Taxes in Legoland must be astronomical.
I think that myers in town (myer center brisbane), my still have one.
And yea, you should see my mums lego town. It's cop-ville. Police everywhere.
At least with those new firemen sets I made one into a villan. You see, it comes with two axes, so I made him "the chopper", who's in disguise.
Lego needs to release a donut shop.
