Default JP Arms Micron Gaia Unicron + Optimus 2-pack

Gaia Unicron is a TFPrime/Arms Micron figure that Hasbro have said they have no plans to release (at this time), and since it is a character from the cartoon, this will interest collectors.
The concept seems a bit odd though, almost as if it is a gimmick forced on the toy (and you know how that goes, spoiling the toy). The concept is that it merges with an Optimus toy, something that didn't happen in the cartoon, and doesn't make any sense.

The image is probably a place-holder/mockup, but it lets us know to expect a more expensive 2-pack, instead of just the Unicron toy on its own.

That is a very confusing product pic

I haven't been following the series, but I'm glad others on that forum who have been following are in the same boat. Would like to the pics to come, such as whether Gaia Unicron has an alt mode or whether he can combine with Megatron.

His alt-mode is a lump of rock...

Just kidding. I don't know what it turns into, if anything.
It may just convert into an exosuit for Optimus, which may be why they have to sell it with a properly converting toy.
Be funny if it does homage rocklords... but it has too much stuff sticking out of it to curl up into a ball.

It says not finalized, but there's a sketch of his alt mode on the original solication here.
That doesn't necessarily mean it's now clear what it is

It might have been more cool to have a rock alt mode That image makes it look like the robot mode, face down with legs spread open.. Oh well at least the robot mode is more promising than the Cybertron Deluxe. Would be cool to repurpose this guy to be sort of a Classicsverse leader to those pro-end of world cultists at the end of the US comics.
