Oooh Kurosaki Ichigo in Hueco mundo!! NIce shot! ... That's not a poseable figure isn't it Jena? more like a statue... I just love all those tiny lollies and sweet cakes!!

I like the Nendoroid one among the little flowerbed, she looks so excited to be there!

I was trying to get the hueco mundo feel! Yay! If only I had a figure of Grimmjow to complete the look. All the figures above are the static non-poseable kind. Except for the Nendoroids.

Those little foods are brilliant, they're so much fun.

    Thank you for your comments

    Excellent, as usual!

Deceptic_Optic - I'm still trying to figure out that last series of shots. I don't see any fishing line or plastic supports...

I've been messing around with light from a little flashlight at different angles - any hints/tips/feedback?

My camera is a Canon S100 compact - nothing terribly fancy, I suppose, but I'm still playing with the different shooting modes.

For this figure, I was aiming for a silhouetted look that would make the lights stand out, especially since the red LED for the eyes isn't as bright as the white one for the arc reactor. My aim was for something like the second shot, but there seems to be too much 'glare' from the arc reactor. Perhaps if I had shot it from a lower angle...?

perhaps you can cut a small piece of paper the shape of the reactor, then tape it over the light so the light dont glare too much

Try holding the camera on a slight angle to the light. The glare is probably happening because the LED is shining straight at the lens. Tilt the camera a bit and this should reduce the glare.

Or you can move the camera back, bung it on a tripod and zoom in as well.
