Default Looking for TFSource tips from any regular customers please =o)

    Hello all =o)

I am considering popping my TFSource cherry soon, after having browsed their range on the standard stuff we get over here is much cheaper per figure when purchased as a complete Wave, but when I went to calculate postage to make sure it was still a good deal (or the same price as shops at the least), it said 'invalid zip' and wouldnt give me a postage quote. So any help from any TFSource regulars would be greatly appreciated, and also any thoughts on the quality of their service would be nice too =o)

    Thanks for your time =o)

I have used TFsource twice and they have been great to deal with.

The only thing though is each time I purchased I got a call from my credit card company asking if I authorised the transaction.

Both times I recieved the items within 7 days, great packaging as well.

I have bought from both TFsource and BBTS and no issues. I bought recently a Classics cliffjumper - it came to me like it just came from the factory line - perfect mint.

I think the TF source postage calculator is US-restricted, I've only heard good news about TF-source, no bad news like a certain distributor *coughs* RK **coughs** and the service is of high standards.

You can try the postage calculator on Big Bad Toy Store for a rough estimation from US to AUS, it'll be expensive though. $100 US for 4 deluxes inc. postage

Ouchies! Even if the 4x Deluxes are $50? So it's $50 postage!? That's quite steep, but still, cheapest deluxes around here are $23.86, so not much difference I guess...

But that is just 4 deluxes.
Shipping from the US is a bitch, but if you pack out an order, it makes it easier to deal with.
BBTS is great with the "pile of loot"
Buy bits and pieces over a month or so and then ship it all at once. I spent $500 before shipping over 2 months and save a lot of postage because of it

Yeah, I've always been tempted by that option, but found their prices exceeded TFSources. But I guess if postage is that steep, the Pile of Loot option would probably balance out nicely. Does TFS have this option, or just BBTS?

    Just BBTS.

While postage from the US may be high, the prices on their Hasbro products tend to be cheaper. Usually by about US$20 for a case of 8 deluxes.

    Just for comparison
    RK - $119.90 + $36.98 = Us$156.88
    BBTS - $99.99 + $48.49 = Us$148.48
    TFSource - $99.95 + $64.08 = Us$164.03

Recently RK has been matching them on bigger figures, like the voyagers, but for Hasbor deluxes I'd get them from the states.

RK is also slower at putting stock up or pre-orders up on their pages.
BBTS is about 2 waves ahead of them.

I've used bbts twice and I'm building another pile of loot at the moment. I'll be spending a few hundred on the whole package but in the end once you build up enough items, postage works out really cheap, maybe $5 - $8 per item depending on how many and the size of the items.

test it out, put 2 things in your cart, then add more and check the postage every few items you add to see how the rates change, in the end the UPS international is by far the best value per item, quick and tracked.

The biggest drawback of this method is seeing things on a shelf here that you just want to pick up and take home but can't because you know it's sitting in the warehouse just waiting for you to hit the ship my loot now button.

I've had no issue getting international postage quotes from TFSource's shopping cart. I suspect if you're getting an invalid postcode message, you haven't chosen the right country.

That being said, my company's postage calculator has had postage calculator issues with some more recent, obscure postcodes. What's your postcode?
