    Default Future of Transformers Toys...

Well considering that Hasbro have released most of the G1 characters in their new generations/classics/universe incarnations and that the 3rd movie toys are making their way to the markets what will become of TF toys once the 3rd movie is done and Hasbro has done all they can with G1-based figures?

Re-release BW again? Update it? What do you think?

There is the 4th movie possibility though too...

A pumped up Beast Wars would have me excited as long as they stayed away from the animated style.

    What Sharky said.

And Classics is far from over G1 is for more than 84,85 you know. They still need to do a Deluxe Trailbreaker and Hoist, Huffer, gears, Tailgate, Pipes, Swerve, Soundwave, Blaster that does not suck. Then bots from other years

Classics has so much life left.

i would actually like to see them redo the headmaster gimmick..

with todays technology they could make them better..

fort max doesnt have to be as large as he was both he and scorponok could be leader sized toys and still be awesome.....

A Generations version of Fort Max would be awesome (considering they couldn't do a reissue). Generations Arcee would have to come first though.

As mentioned above, Transformers Prime toys should be out later this year / early next and we should also see some WFC toys with the second game. I'd bet that there will be a WFC Starscream considering Hasbro stated it was on their 'to do' list.

Sharky has it right, with the usual random repaints/rereleases of select old toys and more classics as filler lines. And lots more Bumblebees.

You know those transition lenses that tint in sunlight? I wonder if one day Transformers toys will use some similar type of plastic to that? Imagine for example if the windows went from opaque to transparent as you turned the robot into car?

And surely Transformers will need to eventually incorporate some sort of electronics beyond light and sound. I read about some toy recently that unlocks an avatar in a computer game. I would see something like that being part of Transformer toys, rather than "big missile firing weapons" which is a very 90s thing.

I totally agree, Prime toys, which we've already seen some of, and Tonnes more G1 re-creations as listed above but there are sooo many more. I'd love to see more triple changers, maybe as a voyager size. clones, head masters, target masters have been done a bit but could be added to.
An ultra class powermaster optimus prime would be awesome.
    More dinobots.

and if they could work hard to actually re-create/design some of the gestalt teams, I think that would be awesome.

I've never collected BW or much else, it's a self preservation method of having enough money for food and living. BUT, I could see Classics and voyager sized Beast Wars re-designs being really impressive if done right.

In closing I think there is a tonne of life left in the classics line.
As materials science and engineering improves, so will features and gimiks in transformers, the mech alive idea was a bit meh, but still cool in some vehicle modes. The automorph an dactivators tech has a lot of potential as well.
