Default Your favourite Transformers Video Game?

I only have a emulated copy of Mistery no Convoy on NES, Transformers : Armada and Transformers 2007 on PS2. I used to have BEast Wars on PS1 too and that was prob my favorite as the others seemed so hard to play (apart from TF07 that just felt like a cheaply done game).

    What was yours?

And has anyone played the PS2 one with the actual G1 characters that was like Dynasty Warriors?

I loved the Transformers Armada one on the PS2 that was made by Melbourne House. That is one of my faves though War For Cybertron has kinda edged it out.
I've also played the Transformers game that was for the PS2 that had G1 characters in it. The graphics were pretty and nice but the voice acting and game play was horrendous.

'Horrendous' is being generous... That G1 game would have to have been one of THE worst games I have ever played. If it didn't have Transformers in it, I would have burned as a scrifice to my pagan gods, but they would probably punish me for it...

I quite lked the little platformer game on the C64. It was simple and hard, but still fun. Although broken in many ways. You would come across Ravage and Frenzy and the only way to kill them would be to run into them, as your gun shots would just fly over there heads...

It did effectively use the Stats of the characters rather well. I will dig up some screen shots from somewhere.

I really like the Armada one. It was ace, if a little hard. The Tidal Wave fight blew me away! Nothing has been able to match the impression that made and that include WFC.

    TF Games

    • Mystery of Convoy (Nes)
    • Headmasters (Famidisk)
    • Transformers (Platformer c64)
    • Transformers "Battle for earth(?)" (into the screen shooter, C64)
    • Beast Wars (PS1)
    • Beast Wars Transmetals (PS1/N64)
    • Transformers (Crappy G1 game) Ps2, Japan release only.
    • Transformers (Armada game) PS2
    • Transformers the game (of the movie, pretty much everything)
    • ROTF Game
    • War For Cybertron.

    TF Related games:
Dream mix TV, World Fighters(PS2 Gamecube) Jap only I think - A game like smash bros, feature Takara characters (including Microman). You could select G1 Convoy from the start, needed to unlock G1 Megatron and Devastator makes a cameo as part of the background in one of the stages.

Macross Games (coz to me you play as Jetfire )

That's all I know of, am I missing any?

    *update*
I am, there was a Beast Wars neo game on Gameboy colour, and an Animorph game that played like pokemon, iirc

The BWN one was a pretty good fighter in the same vein as Streetfighter.

So far I've only played and owned:
    Transformers Armada (PS2)
    Transformers (Movie2007 PS3)
    ROTF (PS3)
    War for Cybertron (PS3)

I loved the Armada game. The gameplay was challenging with enough unlockables for hours of fun. As my first Transformers game it had everything I love in games: Driving, shooting, transforming, flying and unlockables that let me look at toys.

The movie was a massive fail. More of a 'challenge' game then a transformers game.

ROTF was better, but not by much. It improved on the first movie game but trying to get a platinum seems impossible and is just to much bother.

War for Cybertron is my favourite at the moment. Not to hard and not to easy. A wide range of playable characters means a different way to complete each mission. It has a well thought out story that adds to the mythos of Transformers. Control is easy to pick up and fluid.
A complete win in my books

It's close for me but at the moment War for Cybertron is my preference over the Armada game (I think both are excellent) with ROTF a (very) distant third.

The Beast Wars game also came out on PC. I actually liked playing it, was fun, if not a bit clunky. I stil have the demo somewhere...

That Tidal Wave fight in the Armada game was massive. I remember trying to do that mission not long ago and I couldn't get through it. I think I need to change my payload of minions, but still. That level was alot of fun.

Love the WFC DS games as well, I still have to finish them completely (all characters and such) but I need a new DS to actually play it since my last one broke

That G1 PS2 game was so bad, terrible graphics, sound & gameplay. The only good part was that it's super import friendly due to the english option, but that's probably also a downside since it encourages people to buy that p.o.s

I found the BW game really hard. 3rd person shooter and using a digital pad on the PS1 made movement and shooting harder than it should be. Plus the fact that you energy would ebb away in robot mode and you couldn't attack in beast mode. PLus transforming would take a while and you would be getting shot at. Man what a dud game.

Oh I also forgot the DS Animated game. I quite enjoyed that, being a fan of puzzle games

I never got to play BW on PS1. Only PC. Maybe the PC version was much better because you could use a mouse. Pretty sure you could anyway. Was easy run away from a fight on that without getting killed.

Transformers (armada) on PS2 was the best TF game I've played on a console.

War for Cybertron is very good as well, but I didnt find it anywhere near as much fun.

Animated on the DS was pretty fun too, but not really a TF game, since there was barely any transforming in it.
