    These links may help:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moulding_(process)
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Injection_moulding
    http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Mould

I tried Googling "DIY Moulding" and "DIY Moulding toys" but just the search results I got were highly inappropriate and irrelevant to toys... at least, the toys we're talking about (or at least I freakin' hope so!). Erm... nobody try Googling that if you're at work or in front of company. Holy Nexus Maximus...

Check out ur local mould supplier...there's one next to Richmond station on swan street..The place is called barnes. They have a bunch of samples on display and starter kits etc for sale...from memory I think they sell putty too..if u want to sculpt something from scratch.

the other option, if you have a CAD model is to go to somewhere like

    www.shapeways.com

I am expecting a design of mine to come in the mail some time in the next week and a half.
