I only just bought MP-04 the other week so I'm pretty much satisfied with that. It does seem like a cheap move on Hasbro/TakTom's part just to re-release an updated mold...

I'm still making up my mind, the truck mode is definitely better than the original. The robot mode seems a bit more detailed too. Transparent parts on the groin plates are a nice touch. I may get it, My MP 1 convoy only has a cardboard trailer, so the trailer in this set could swing it.

Can't even begin to describe how little this interests me.
I'm really just here for the free food and open bar.

not exactly what i was expecting. what was the point of making this? it doesnt really expand on the series. I'm guessing they established what masterpiece sizing is (i.e. MP seeker size) so their shrinking everything down? smaller figure, even smaller human character, but price remains?

the detail on him is a bit humdee... where are those pistons on his arms and feet? "twas proof that prime is a plaussible being".

Maybe they're rebooting the series. If that's the case, I suppose we could hope for a better looking MP05?

I think collectors willl collect it but i'm not sure if it will satisfy their thirst.

Lol, "Convoy Gun" is housed within backside XD

    *end childish snigger*

Mmkay, this is both pleasing and annoying to me. I have MP-04, but from Target, so it has a few QA issues. I also have MP-02, Ha$bro SS, SW and Grimlock. The scale difference has always bothered me, like most other collectors, but I accepted it. Now we are offered a smaller, same-scaled, slightly more detailed re-release... for the same price? REALLY?! When I buy a deluxe at $25 and then later find out they are releasing a redeco that I prefer, I can handle that, but this is 10x the price of that, so it's quite a slap in the face.

On the upside though, those who missed MP-01/MP-04 will possibly see a few come available from people selling them off to get MP-10... Maybe...

If this were in $100-150 territory, I would be much more tempted, but it sooooo isn't... =o(

Please have a listen to my songs. Feel free to comment if you wish, any constructive feedback is appreciated =o)

Ah.. was totally busy this week and just saw these pics now.

To be honest, he looks great, better than the original MP prime, merely because of the small changes. The truck cab looks much better for one.
The bot mode looks less stocky and more proportioned. The extra detailing on the grill and nicer cartoon head looks great. Add to all that the proper trailer and you have a winner.

It is tempting for me especially since besides MP grimlock, I don't own any other MPs- and this prime looks so sweet. Having said that, $250 steep. Ill wait to see reviews...

Hopefully this means an ultra magnus (with trailer armour) is in the works. Id buy that.

Realistically, it's largely what I was expecting - a refined MP-1. The cab is much better realised this time too. Pity the door windows are red tho, about the only thing that really bugs me.

Currently DotM doesn't interest me at all. MP-10 does.

I look forward to seeing how the transform gimmick works. The chest transformation for MP-1 was always clumsy.

At least his gun is the right color now... Not sure I like Roller being gray, cartoon accuracy aside.
Which brings us to where we are today...

    *big underwhelming sigh*

Not as good as I was expecting. If the price tag is smaller than what we are anticipating, then maybe I will get it. If not, then I'm not fussed if I don't get this. Does look like there is some improvement, but not enough for me.
