What we meant:

Cantonese speakers (from Singapore, Malaysia, and sometimes Hong Kong) often finish saying something with a "la" (啦).

Examples:

"How are you?"
"Ok la."

"What's the weather like?"
"Fine la."

"How did it go?"
"Good la."

"How was the movie?"
"So so la."

"See you later."
"Bye bye la."
