I agree, the commander, voyager and leader class all look smaller then has been previously released. I still buy them though as it's been so long since I've gone shopping.

So far Big W has had the cheapest prices. I've also been buying from Toyworld as they are selling cheaper then they've ever done.

Does anyone know what the pricing deal between Hasbro and the stores is? As in, who sets the price/range of prices?

    So, business as usual then.

How do we fare against Japanese TF pricing?

Prices in Japan have also been steadily climbing.

TF1 > ROTF > DotM (all prices in JPY)

    Legends/Legion: 525 > 500 > 714
    Scout/Commander: NA > 1200 > 1344
    Deluxe: 2200 > 2300 > 2730
    Voyager: 3800 > 3800 > 4200
    Leader: 6500 > 6800 > 8400

    Basic Human Alliance = 2625JPY

I saw them two nights ago at Sylvania. Picked up Sandstorm...

For what it's worth, I think the Commanders are clearly larger (and more complex) than Legends, if slightly less massive than your average scout. I'm not saying they should be $20, but I've got three now and none are Legends sized.

BTW Big W has them for $15 or so. But skipped Powerglide ):

Did Big W skip Powerglide? I thought they were still on Wave 1?

In Canada, Deluxes are one dollar more expensive than a Human Alliance Basic. I say spend the extra dollar!

Now that I've seen more Cyberverse Plus/Commander figures, I more strongly believe that these figures are "Activator" sized and should be that price point back home.

I've only bought a powerglide for $18 and I felt ripped off. I would have bought the entire case online to get it cheaper- but only wanted the single so not worth it.

For DOTM, there may be size reductions all around, but for me, the most impact is from the Cyberverse Commanders... Much smaller than Scouts and not much more than legends. Yet they are priced as the old scouts (or even pricier).- and I already felt the old pricing of scouts was already a bit too much considering their size and complexity. I feel that they should be priced at around $8 which would be fair.

Voyagers are the next most rip off I guess. But I have not held one in my hands for an up close look/comparison.

I hope that this trend is only for the movie toys... because please Has/Tak do not downscale the future classics/generations stuff PLEASE!!
