Default Toy Review - DOTM Voyager Sentinel Prime

Toy Review - Voyager Sentinel Prime

This toy is far more logical than the Leader and should take a fraction of the time to transform. The fire-hose-ladder/BFG MechTech weapon is lots of fun and locks in so it can be displayed in either form. There's a nice basic-automorph where the head comes up with the chest panel. It's not 100% perfect - the grey laddery-sides to the top of the fire engine are flimsy, and he doesn't have a shield, but nevertheless - if you haven't already shelled out for the Leader version, I'd suggest you don't. Wait for the Voyager.

he looks small... the mechtech weapon looks nice but now he doesnt have a sword and shield - which is annoying. if only he were like optimus prime with plenty of redecos and plenty of different weapons - like maybe a black version with the sword and shield.

i will most likely just get him for his mechtech weapon but at least he doesnt look as bad as voyager ironhide.

I think it's barely been located internationally, STL. Mine fell off the back of a fire engine. (I got it from eBay. But it was MISB, so hopefully we'll get them soon.)

Does Hasbro have a thing against red?

Both larger Sentinel Prime figures have a pinkish hue... We know that Hasbro can use red coloured plastic, Classicsverse Inferno was a nice shade of red.

It is a nice looking figure, and I like the idea of a Sentinel prime figure the same size as Megatron and Shockwave, that also does not ahve the sound gimmicks... If only it was avialble during the toy sales!

Thanks Skyshadow for putting me in two minds about nabbing the leader version!

Already have enough Sentinal Primes! Have the Leader and the Commander. Will perhaps wait til I see the movie to see if Sentinal will be my 'hero'

Yeah this is Sentinel Prime I may get, so far there's been a surprising amount of win in the DOTM Voyager range.

I'm in the same boat as Decepticon. Ah well... good news for anyone who doesn't have a Sentinel Prime toy yet though.

Seems to be one size class for each movie that has had a higher percentage of quality figures, TF was deluxe, RotF was scout, DotM seems to be Voyager...

This toys feels more like a deluxe figure. He's very much a shell-former, with the fire truck compressing to a back pack. The weapon is nice and suits the vehicle mode better than most Mech-Tech weapons do. For playability this is better than the Leader as it's easy to transform, but if you want ease of transformation there's always the Commander. I prefer the Leader one, and would say get this if you can get it cheap or just want a mid size version of the character.
