Default United (voyager) Megatron issue! Help please

Hey guys, I got united megatron and the waist piece is on backwards!

I made a video to show the issue - I tried taking out the screws but it seems I also need to remove a pin to fully pull the waist apart...anyone have any ideas?

I don't mean to laugh, but I love the end of the video. It's like 'It's the wrong way It should be - it's the wrong way '

    EDIT: It's the wong way

lol. i just checked with my classics meg. curved part does need to be on the bottom in order to fit into the waist cavity.

    dont stress dude.
    1) tap the pin out on the torso part of that curved piece (heres a tutorial on how to remove pins http://www.sector70.com/forum/tm.aspx?m=12735).
    2) flip the torso around and put the pin back in
    3) tap the pin out where the entire trigger section connects to his 'butt'. this will allow you to access the 3rd screw on his waist (you may also want to unscrew his legs first just so you can have better access to this pin if you are finding it difficult to tap the pin out).
    4) remove all 3 screws on his waist to disassemble it, rotate the curved piece to the correct orientation
    5) put everything back
    done.

FYI, this can definitely be done, as i've fully disassembled my classics megs for a custom paint job.

As Bruticus has said, this is a pretty straight forward fix so don't distress too much.

The most difficult part is popping the pin out but once you've done that, the rest is very easy.

Thanks for the reassurance guys - looks like it should be easily fixed - never removed a pin before so i'll let you know how it goes once I find the right tools to knock the pin out

    After exams though...haha

    Hi,

I actually bought it loose from eBay from a HK seller (probably straight from the factory) so it came in gun mode. Anyways the seller gave me a full refund and let me keep the item, so I guess its a win-win, hopefully I can fix it

Took me an hour and severe stress marks (part of the waste nearly has snapped off lol but pushing the pin back in holds it together) to hammer the pin out of the waste. But it's fixed! One of the ratchet joints on the legs seems to be squeaky but to be honest, for a free figure I can't be bothered cause he will just be displayed

Congratulations! Removing pins can sometimes be a real pain, I try to use a soldering irons were possible to soften it up.
