Oh, I'm undoubtedly interested, although I really gotta figure out how to get him safely into the country first, oh and cough up the cash, as I've bought a JP MIB Jazz, MIB Hydra and MIB JP Devastator giftset all in the last week and although I got good deals on all, it was rather taxing. I don't mean to brag, but we all know it's rather expensive!!! Will really have to sit tight for Browning for now...there are a few good examples out there and the prices and conditions of the figures are around about the same ballpark with little variance...would love the JP Masterforce version, but not keen nor ready to accomodate the huge price tag...if i want it, unfortunately it's what I'll have to pay as it's so rare!

Will probably try to accommodate some of the easier examples for now...but I appreciate the links

    Hi guys,

Trying to accomodate some of the more easier wants as a priority now, not really after anything new atm, but interested in refining my existing collection, but here's a few more relatively easy things to come by which I'm after

    G1 Skywarp:
Body - Must be ULTRA clean and without stickers
Missile Sprews (for both kinds of missile), if they have missiles still attached, thats a plus!
    Instructions - Japanese version

    G1 Thunderwing:
Pretender Shell - Absolutely critical that I find one...has been VERY elusive so far. Am not fussed about condition, but MUST be intact!
    Instructions - English

    G1 Jazz:
Have not quite yet found time, nor sun to be able to use H2O2 or anything similar on mine, although I would like to. Am after a fresh body (but has to be extremely clean with no signs of yellow, and no stickers). If it's to my liking, I will be prepared to make a generous offer

If anybody has any of these, or on the top page of the thread which is surplus to their requirements, PM me, and we'll talk deal.

have a few boxed Japanese G1's. Somewhat pricey, but I suppose if you're desperate...

anyway hope that helped. I prefer US G1's myself though. They're generally cheaper than their Jap counterparts

You're right in the fact that US G1s are generally cheaper. Usually I find myself paying about 40% more than market US price for the JP boxed versions (less if I'm REALLY lucky). I collect JPs for a few reasons

    1) Ergonomical - Example: Compare the size of a JP Autobot car box to a US version. And I only got so much space. Not the biggest fan of box flaps, but the the era we're working with, gotta deal with that. Some US and JP Tfs have the same or similar box size surprisingly enough (MegaZarak/Scorponok is one example)

    2) Styrofoam - Helps the box keep good form/structure/integrity (call it what u will) through time...no matter if the box if half falling apart or not. Disadvantage is if it's missing...they're next to impossible to find as the quantity released relative to US G1s was far lower, and no such things as reproduction styrofoam for JP G1s just yet...

    3) Authenticity - As we all know with the Chinese copies of US Series 1, 2, 3 floating around, they have not gone so far as to imitate the JP G1 box art (touch wood). If i buy a JP version, I'm 100% comfortable in the knowledge that I'm getting what I'm paying for

    4) Resale Value - I hope it doesn't come to this, but like many collectors/former collectors, one day I MAY have to sell up (for one reason or another). JPs keep good resale value and the only way you can lose money is if you paid over the odds in the first place (yep!), or committed the cardinal sin of unsealing a MISB...yes, guilty in my younger days, and have done it recently...shame on me

    5) I just love Japanese writing!

    6) Some of the JP only TFs are just too damn cool!!!! Soundblaster, Twincast, JP only cassettes, Star Saber...gonna stop now as i don't wanna snap up much more for now...more interested in refining what i have
