    Default Yellowing Toys

Taken from another forum but a good read and insight into the yellowing of toys. Looks like production values has more to do with the process than actual exposure to sunlight.

Yes, part of plastic manufacture is the addition of UV inhibiters. If done incorrectly, or fast/lazy/cheap, then yea, batches will vary. Also don't forget that compact fluoros emit UV.

The quality of a mix for a water tank, and that of a toy will be vastly different as the water tank will be more precise as it's designed to last for a long time and has a warranty. And a toy, well, is a toy, no warranty and no need to be exact.
