Thanks mate.
In terms of great photos, you will find that it's not just the camera/lens combination, but also many other factors such as lighting, aperture, shutter speed, etc.
But to answer your question, the camera I use is the Canon EOS 550D.
For toy pics, I alternate the lenses from either of the following:
Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6
Canon EF 50mm f/1.8
Tamron SP 60mm f/2 Di II Macro
Lately I've moved away from the EF-S 18-55mm since it's just not as sharp or as fast as the other two.
Feel free to ask for advice on cameras in this thread.![]()

My 370Z
And I'll re-post these ones here since they're a good example (according to jena who teaches photography - even though they're not the sharpest pics) of what you can do with the various settings on a DSLR:
Aperture Priority
Shutter Priority

you've taken some really cool looking photos VP... i especially dig the smirking starscream!
i'm so jealous of your 370Z mate, any chance you consider trading for a '67 VC Valiant?
( i know, i know.... worth a shot though. lol )

I find the descriptions Aperture Priority and Shutter Priority so confusing!
To me, the 2 pics you posted should be labelled:
All in focus shot - Small aperture (slow shutter speed)
Starscream in focus shot - Large aperture (fast shutter speed)
They really didn't want to make this topic easy to understand, considering the "large" aperture might be f/5.6 whereas the "small" aperture might be f/32!
You take great photos though![]()
