    Default Binaltech

    Just wondering...

How much did the early binaltech cost when it first came out>? i was just browsing through ebay.... price is way up there.

Am considering whether to start buying them along with the upcoming ones. Any comment from you guys? What's your experience/love/hate for binaltech>?

    Thanx guys!

get this and become an instant BT collector

I'm a late comer to Transformers collecting and started off with Binaltechs.
It is believed to be about US$50+ due to its die-cast material...

Checkout the old Binaltech site - they retailed for 5229, i think the new ones are around 5000.

Certain ones always seem to fetch higher prices - Smokescreen, Jazz and Wheeljack tend to be really high. Yellow Tracks seems to be the cheapest and the rest are in between.

I have nothing but love for Binaltech! I started with the models of car i actually liked, design wise... but i loved them so much i ended up buying one i didn't like, the Jeep (Hound). From that point on, i realized i should never underestimate how awesome they'd be! Skids turned out to be one of my favourites, despite his car mode being an average design in real life (at least compared to the sports cars).

With new ones coming out though, i wouldn't go spending heaps on Ebay unless you must have a particular design, as it seems the new releases wont be straight reissues.

Unless you started collecting at the start when they were about US$45 each I dont think it's worth collecting the entire set. BT-17 goes for around US$700 alone and BT-18 is hard to find at a reasonable price too. Maybe either collect Alternators instead or look at collecting one of each BT mold.

Yeah BT are awesome, though they're better on the shelf than as toys.
Because of the die-cast some of the bots are a bit top heavy so I keep them at the back of the shelf or in car mode.

Well that's what I've seen them go for. I thought it was a rip-off when it was $120 - it's the worst BT mold and it's quite heavy too, even though not all of the body is diecast.
