The rumour mill has rumblings of an eventual official UM using the new MP10 mold, but they are just rumblings...
And weren't the Spacepet guys testing the waters of a new Classics UM upgrade too?
i found that there is another Classics/Henkei scale UM coming out.
its discussed on the KOToys Forum and also ACToys Forum
Its supposedly made by CHMS (the guys that produce high end KO's of the henkei seekers)
there is also an interesting video of the transformation here:

Arcee, this looks like its still in development, but if you dont mind buying 3rd party toys, then it could be an option for you.
that or you fork out 1300USD or so and buy the marksproject (anemis) Masterpiece UM trailer upgrade - perfect edition. lol.

otherwise, you are pretty much in the same boat as everyone else here who want a more accurate UM figure.
I like my FP City Commander, but it really needs a bigger head. It just seems a bit too small compared to the rest of his body.
I hope this Magnus ends up being as good as it's render but the result may be more MP scaled than Classics/Henkei.
I am still hopeful that due to the success of City Commander, Hasbro/Tak-Tom would actually make a proper G1 Magnus with armor for their new MP Prime mold.
I would actually hold out and wait for that one but given how shoddy MP Rodimus' design was, I would not be jumping in so eagerly until I see some more info.
Yes G1 is what I want. I actually prefer the Fanproject City Commander to the Titanium version. Would be better if they can do something to that head.
I've also seen this custom painted on eBay, thought it's a good paint but his upper body looks unproportioned and the head on a spike is pathetic:

If you're after the most G1 cartoon accurate toy of Ultra Magnus, I'd stick with the G1 toy. The Titanium and Fansproject toys are (holds up flame shield) pretty loose/weak interpretations of the cartoon character and the white cabs are simply 'Magnus' (what's ultra about them?). Patience is the key, Hasbro will do Ultra Magnus justice one day.![]()
