    Default Garage Sale Discussion Thread

So I've decided to clean my room in the upcoming holiday break and remembered that I have heaps of children's books, videogame and empire magazines. I don't care for them anymore and would like to get rid of them - should I sell them in a garage sale or is that too much effort and I'll be better off giving them away (to salvation army?)

You could always try the old Lions Club markets, you know where you pay like $5 and can sell off your stuff, Flea Market!! That was the word I was after. Game collectors (like me) always trawl those places....

Past experience in selling kids books and Empire mags here in Perth were not very successful for me. I was lucky to get 20c each for a magazine at the markets. Your best bet is to sell them for auction on eBay as a whole lot to someone local.

I sold a bunch of music magazines (Metal Hammer, Revolver etc) on eBay recently, some I only got 99 cents for but some others I ended up getting $15 for. In a few cases, I got more than I originally paid! I recommend eBay.
